Nice product, perfect size for what I do. Easily cleans and itโs not expensive.
I am unsure why people are saying that itโs too small every recipe that Iโve had for a 7 inch pan. My plans come out perfect every time and I highly recommend this. The lid is excellent. The entire unit cleaned up well. And we buy another.

Amazing
Iโm very happy with the IMUSA 1.5Qt Stainless Steel Flan Mold with Lid. The size is perfect for making traditional flan, and the stainless steel feels sturdy and good quality. I like that it comes with a lid because it helps the flan cook evenly when using a water bath. The mold is easy to clean, and the flan releases nicely when you flip it out. It also heats evenly, which helps the caramel and custard cook perfectly. Iโve used it a few times already and the results have been great every time. If you enjoy making flan or other desserts like quesillo or puddings, this mold works really well. Definitely a good purchase.

Let me tell you about this lid Iโve been using weekly for over a year.
Iโve been using this flan weekly for over a year and let me tell you my opinion on it. : ) I tried for years to find the right authentic recipe for flan. Skimming Pinterest, I would find nothing but โcoconut carmel soy milk ketoโ whatever recipes. (No offense to anyone, just give me the goods.) I searched YouTube, google, and every time Iโd eventually give up in frustration. But I finally found the recipe. Authentic, solid flan that has the texture of pudding on the inside with a delicious sauce on top. I found it on a YouTube video, this Italian woman knew the real deal for whatever reason. This flan pan is pretty darn solid. Like I said, I make flan weekly for my husband and I since we never get tired of it. (And we knew we wouldnโt which is why finding the proper recipe was so dire. Lol). I wash it in the dishwasher and it does fine. The only complaint I could have is a complaint that could come with the recipe generally speaking. The sugar sauce tends to stick to the bottom of the pan and I end up adding more sugar to it so more will be on the flan itself, but I think thatโs mainly the nature of the dish. For those who are like me and donโt know where to turn, hereโs my flan process : ) : Let me start off by saying I live in Colorado where things are rather dry. For those of you who didnโt know, cream of tartar is a spice thatโs great for make a consistency more liquidy and when I make flan, I add it to my sugar that Iโm melting down otherwise it just sticks to the pan. I get a 9X11 or whatever size Pyrex pan ready, with my flan pan waiting patiently in the middle. I put about a cup of sugar and a pinch of cream of tartar in a pan under medium heat. I have a silicone spoon I use and a nonstick sauce pan so the sugar melted down just kind of rolls off of everything. Iโve read to keep an eye on the sugar constantly and at first I was really paranoid about it. You do you, but personally I canโt stand waiting for the sugar to melt so I start that portion of the recipe up first. While my pan is heating up, Iโll toss the sugar around in the pan between ingredients Iโm adding to a mixing bowl. Those are: evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk (you have to get La Lechera brand which is right by the normal sweetened condensed milk or in the cream part of the tacos salsa good fun aisle at the store. Iโve tried with other brands but it NEVER turns out the same. Maybe thatโs just me. :), three eggs- and I never get anything but large eggs so idk... use those for this recipe, and a splash of vanilla. Throw all of those ingredients into a mixing bowl and I use a hand mixer to get it mixed well. Set that aside. : ) I hope youโve been checking and tossing that sugar around, but if not- donโt sweat it. Youโll be sweating soon anyways from standing here keeping the sugar from burning. lol. You want to keep pushing the sugar around. Iโve read to shake the pan (idk how that helps keep sugar from burning on one side but whatever), Iโve read to keep a constant eye on it at all times and donโt walk away, and Iโve read so much about burning it and how to avoid burning it. If youโve made it this far, youโre not an idiot. All you want to do is mix the sugar around while itโs melting to a liquid. I have a rule of thumb where as soon as it starts to look semi liquidy, I turn the stove to 350 degrees. I have a newer stove and it heats up fast though. If your sugar has any solid pieces left in it, keep stirring it. It wonโt make too much of a difference if itโs mostly liquidy and a carmel kind of color, but weโre seeking perfection here. Once the sugar is liquid and is able to pour out of the sauce pan, do exactly that and pour it into the flan dish. Right after Iโve poured it, I use hot pads to pick up the flan dish and rotate it (twisting my whole body in the process because Iโm a doofus lol) and get the Carmel sauce all along the sides of the pan as well as the bottom. You donโt have to get the sides excessively though, my goal when doing that is to help guide the sauce at the top down the sides when itโs baking and Iโm taking it out of the pan. Next, get a strainer and pour the mixing bowls contents over the sauce through the strainer. At this point your flan pan should be in the Pyrex dish. I tend to get pieces of egg shells in the bowl and Iโve read repeatedly that this helps with consistency. Iโve never not tried it, but I know it helps with the parts of the yolk that are going to hinder with the smoothness. Once the contents are in the flan pan, snap that lid of the pan on top. I then add water to the Pyrex container, usually filling the Pyrex to about three quarters up the sides. Iโve read to use hot or cold or whatever specifically. As you can probably guess by now, I never pay attention and it always turns out fine. The cooking times vary and you probably wonโt get it right on the first try. I put the Pyrex/water/flan pan with lid party into the oven and bake it for 50 minutes. For me, once the timer goes off, I turn off the oven and fan the oven door to get some of the hot air hot (I always fan it 7 times. Donโt ask me why.) and I leave it inside for another ten minutes. Once the second timer is done, I do the whole shebang and get the flan pan out of the water and the Pyrex pan. I let it sit on the counter for about thirty minutes before putting it in the fridge. YOUR FLAN NEEDS TO BE COMPLETELY COOLED OFF OTHERWISE IT WILL TASTE EGGY. Did you hear me? Iโll spare you from repeating. This is something that I think I messed up in the past and thought the recipe was wrong but I was so excited to try it. Iโve found what works for me, but just remember that. Letting it sit overnight or most of the day is key. Donโt remove it from the flan pan during that time. If you try to, itโs not going to have a solid consistency and itโs just going to be pudding. The next day ;)... youโre going to do the most satisfying activity in this process. Youโre going to flip the flan. Using a knife, run it along the sides of the flan to be sure it comes out safely. If you donโt do that, it wonโt come out. Flip the flan and grab a spoon to get all the sugary goodness off the bottom of the flan pan on to the top of your flan. Some will stick to the top. Like I said, I donโt know the solution to this really. Iโve tried using more sugar or more cream of tartar. Once youโve gotten as much sugary goodness off as youโd prefer, cut the flan. Itโs oddly satisfying. : ) Two things to mention: Iโve tried using the same brand (la lechera ) Carmel stuff in the can. Itโs good but itโs got a grainy consistency and doesnโt quite work as a flan... itโs more like a custard dish and much more difficult to strain. Also, most importantly, Iโm giving this recipe out with a lax attitude because I went through a lot of stress trying to follow other recipes when it wasnโt necessary. Itโs okay to STIR the sugar while itโs melting. Itโs okay to have BUBBLES in the bottom of the flan when straining it into the dish. The only real difficulty should be having to wait to eat it and if youโve gotten this far- you know itโs worth it. ; )

Great purchase for first time flan-maker!
I bought this, after it was recommended in a recipe (to make flan in an Instant Pot). I have a 6 quart IP and the flan mold fit perfectly in it. I read a lot of reviews that it's too small, so definitely read the product details before buying it (the dimensions is the first thing listed in the details, which shows that the mold is approx 7 inches around, and 2 inches + deep). I made flan in the IP (my first time to do either!), and I was happy it turned out so good! Read some reviews that the flan mold isn't easy to clean - because the recipe I followed recommended to let it soak in water, I found it easy to clean, since the soaking process took care of melting all the caramelized sugar and helped to soften the remnants. By the time I was ready to fully clean the mold, it was very easy and didn't require a lot of "elbow grease." Love easy-to-clean products! Read another review that it was hard to swirl around the melted sugar because the three latches kept getting in the way of their mittens. I agree it was pretty awkward to do that step. Next time I try making flan, I'll tying something around the mold (to keep the latches down) during the melted sugar process. I found the latches a great feature for keeping the lid secure. Otherwise, with a simple mold (no latches or lid), I'd need to use foil to cover the mold. Not a big deal, but would rather not have to use foil unnecessarily (keep waste down). Overall, as a first time flan-maker (and it was just for my personal use, not a big party of people), this flan mold was perfect for what I needed!

NEEDS a HANDLE, ok for the money.
This works in a standard 6 QT IP (Instant Pot) only the challenge is that it's a bit on the tight side so you'll have to figure out some kind of way to get it out. I'm probably going to crochet some kind of handle for it that links to the 3 latches and meets at the center to pull it out. Foil folded lengthwise would work for a while. The price is decent but it would have a higher value with a handle. The nice thing about the IP with this is you can make dishes with sauces and flavors with this and stack them in the unit and cook them all at once. This was about 11$ at the time of purchase.

Sturdy stainless steel flan mold with great capacity
I bought this stainless steel flan mold to prepare homemade desserts like flan and custards, and it has worked exactly as expected. I wanted something durable, easy to clean, and with enough capacity for family-sized portions. The stainless steel feels solid and well-made. It distributes heat evenly, which helps the flan cook consistently without hot spots. The 1.5-quart size is perfectโnot too small and not overly largeโmaking it ideal for regular home use. I also appreciate how easy it is to remove the flan once itโs ready. The smooth interior surface helps release the dessert cleanly, and cleanup is quick since it doesnโt retain odors or stains. One small thing to mention is that it gets hot during cooking, so using oven mitts is important, but thatโs expected with stainless steel cookware. Overall, this flan mold is a great addition to my kitchen. Itโs durable, practical, and delivers excellent results. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys making flan or similar desserts at home.

Flanera

The item performs as expected, clean quality material. It fit most of the pressure cookers. Results were good on my first Flan try. Recommend it for the oven as well.

Perfect for cooking flan
Today I used it and I can say that I will not change it, it has a good radius and height measurement to make the flan, the hooks on the sides do not allow water to get in when cooking in a bain-marie. I recommend it 100%, excellent quality
