Works perfect!
I bought this months ago when my washer broke for a second time with the same error but I paid a guy 375 to replace this same part last time so this time I was determined to do to myself. I finally did and I followed a guy's youtube directions which were fabulous, and it works like a charm. I need to buy a few more because my 2012 LG washer works better than the newer models. I'm convinced no new major appliance will last more than 2 years. Planned obsolescence went into overdrive with every single company after COVID. My vacuums cleaners are every 6 months now. Can openers last about 4 months. It should be illegal for companies to do this. But this part will rust and will go out again but 25 bucks is way better than 375!

Big savings over service or replacement if you're handy
I've bought two of these over the last several years, which may seem like a frequent thing to break, but it's still way cheaper than buying a new washer. It fits perfectly in the mounting bracket. Installation is a little involved, but not that big a deal. The easiest way to do it is to drain the water out of the drum with the little hose inside the access panel on the front, then lay the washer on its side and access the pump from the bottom. All the walkthroughs on YouTube have you dismantling the whole face to get at it from above, but it's 100% possible to do it from underneath. There's two hose clamps to move, a couple wires to unplug, and three screws to take out to get the whole assembly out of the washer, then a handful of screws to get the motor assembly off the mounting bracket part. Obviously unplug the washer first, and I found it helpful to label which of the wires goes where on the body of the motor with a Sharpie.

Cheap knockoff part that doesn't fit.
This is not a knock on the vendor - the part arrived as promised, new, and on time. The part itself is, unfortunately, another example of cheap Chinese knock-off replacements that often aren't what is advertised. This is clearly labelled as part number 4681EA2001T which is absolutely the correct replacement part number for the drain pump for my LG WM4270HVA washing machine. And the vendor has it listed as free same day delivery - and at a competitive price - what's not to love? The drain pump seals into a pump housing and has a separate plastic enclosure it snaps into before attaching to the pump housing. I knew I was in trouble when the plastic enclosure I'd just taken off the failed pump didn't quote fit on the replacement. Then getting the pump inserted into the pump housing took a little effort. But when I finally got the screws tightened down on the pump the surface of the pump didn't meet flush with the surface of the housing. So I tightened down harder. I eventually was able to force the surface of the pump at the location of the three screws down tight against the pump housing, but in between the three screws the pump still didn't close against the pump housing. This is CLEARLY a pump that is not manufactured according to the specifications of the original manufacturer. Would it have worked and not leaked? Who wants to risk that? Who wants to take the risk it works today and fails in three weeks or three months? Luckily, there was a local supplier with the right part - directly from the manufacturer. It took me 45 minutes to get the part - which is why I went with Amazon in the first place - to avoid that. But once I got the Chinese knock-off piece of junk out of the way the OEM part snapped nicely into the plastic enclosure and the pump surface mated nicely with the pump housing when I tightened the screws down. I hate Chinese knock-off junk on Amazon. I hope I've learned my lesson. This was a useless part, a waste of money, and I lost a lot of time dealing with it.

Worked great but didnโt last long
I purchased this pump in February 2024 and by August 2026, it has started to fail. It had a good run and worked great after the initial installation. I was able to install it by myself pretty quickly. It was a great replacement for the original part, connected easily, and looked identical to the old one. I did expect it to last longer than 2.5 years. Our Kenmore Elite washer is over 10 years old, so I expect a replacement pump to last at least 8 years. Iโm going to order a new replacement from a different source and hopefully that one lasts longer.

Does what I need it to do
The pump went out so I looked up replacement parts, and none of the appliance places near me carried this part (all we have are big box stored near us). So I ordered this part. I watched a YouTube video on how to replace it (took about an hour) and the washer is working as it should. This pump motor is a bit louder than the old one, but so far it is doing the job. Replacing yourself, if possible, is so much cheaper than having someone come out and do it, or worse case, buying a whole new washer. No longevity rating since it has only been a few months, but we do quite a bit of laundry and it is holding up so far. EDIT: 2/12/21 So the motor went out today. Since we somehow managed to burn out two in just over a year, I don't know if it the frequency of use or if there is a further issue with the washer. I'm going to purchase one more time, and do a better job of cleaning the filter in case that is what caused the issue this time around.

Failed in less than 30 days - but fixable
Replaced my failed pump with this cheap one hoping for at least a year or 2. Didn't make it past 30 days. I knew about others having failures but went with it anyway. So I purchased a second one and put it in. Curious as to what the failure was and was stunned. The impeller is only push fit onto the shaft and has knurling to keep it from spinning, this failed and allowed the shaft to free spin inside the impeller and obviously not pump water. All it needs is a small drop of epoxy (JB Weld) to hold it in place.. If you have a little bit of mechanical know how I am sure you can do this yourself. Just pop the motor out by prying up the 2 ears, pull the shaft out, takes a little bit of force, pull the impeller off and epoxy in place. Now I (and you) have a spare! So easy!!! Shame on the manufacturer for such a simple design mistake!!! UPDATE: Second pump failed in 3 weeks. Really can't believe I purchased a second one. All in all these 2 pumps didn't last 30 washes between them, for 10 minutes running time per wash this is shame full. Please people, spend the extra money and buy OEM parts instead of cheap knock offs. You will only pay more in the end in time. money and frustration. I still shake my head at how badly these pumps are made.

Pump broke after only 7 months
The pump is very easy to install, but it broke after only 7 months of use. See the attached picture. It's just not worth saving $20 to get a cheap motor. I replaced it with an OEM motor, which was only $42 and should last a long time - I hope. I bought the proper band spring tool as not having one for the first install was very frustrating and time consuming.
