Lume Cube 2.0 Portable App-Controlled Waterproof LED Cube Light with DSLR Shoe Mount | Waterproof, Adjustable Brightness, Indoor Studio & Outdoor Use, for Photo and Video

I'm not a fan of LED panels for photography. But in a pinch sometimes you need a little help with light. I've shot in clubs where it was so dark AF assist wasn't working particularly well. These little guys come in handy for low light and for multiple other situations. They can be great at weddings for an extra boost of light when shooting the rings and they add fun to certain shoots. They encourage me to be more creative. They've helped also in some of the basic video work I do. I've been having fun with these. They are VERY well made. They have some weight to them. A great build and easy functions. All the accessories I bought are very well made, too. The app works great. Very simple. I shoot concerts, models, portraits, street, and nature. These have been in my bag since I got them. Helpful and fun.

Can not say enough about this product. Waited to do a review so I was sure. The kit is great, the lights are durable and small. So you can throw on in you pocket if you are hiking into the forest, ar you can take the whole kit if you are going to a park. The effects you can achieve are endless, from casual portraits to macro... I just love these. They have withstood the test of time, the still function like the day I got them! Support, not a problem. Had a magnet in one of the defussers fall out when the first arrived. Called or wrote the company, a new one arrived in the mail with no hassle and within a week and half! Service was amazing.

These are great for travel. They are really small and can fit in your pocket. They are pretty bright but I would still only use them for closer up lighting

There are so many different ways to light anything with the shear amount of accessories you get with this kit. The Lume Cubes are wonderful little pieces of tech, making it possible to have actually portable lights that still do the work of much larger "professional" grade lights. I have not been disappointed by these in the slightest. Update 03/05/2021: I still love these lights, though a couple of months in with moderate use one of the lights stopped charging, for whatever reason I was still within the return window and Amazon provided me with a new set. So far so good with the new ones after about a month.

I have owned a Lube Cube for several years. The unit came with two diffusion plates to allow lighting to be more effectively controlled. As delivered, the current model included did not include the diffusion plates, even though these are described in the video. I returned the item and will look into alternatives. I remain pleased with my original unit.

I’ve put these thru the longest shoots that have been well over 14 hours straight while plugged in and the worst that ever happened is one stopped working, reset it only for it to come back. I must of tripped the battery protection circuit or the internal controller needed a moment to recalibrate once it finally detected a stable charge. But don’t give up on them, they’ll take care of you! Bought mine in 2021 and still going strong filming longer than normal!

I have this Lume Cube 2.0 and also I have a 1.0. Pros and cons to each. Wish I could take both and make 1 awesome light. The light quality is better on the lume 2. It is a bit warmer than the 1.0 but not enough. It still needs to be a touch warmer. The light is more even and just a nicer quality light than the 1.0. It runs a lot longer ( almost twice as long ) than the 1.0 on a single charge. It still gets super hot. I like the +- buttons to brighten or dim with out scrolling thru the whole 10 levels. Something I don't like I think Lume Cube messed up. The 2.0 is rated 30 feet waterproof. The charge port has a rubber cover that just presses on. In 2 feet of water I saw it come half way out and a air bubble came out. It should have the screw cap back like the 1.0 has. The 1.0 is 100feet rated. I asked Lume and they said the changed it because people was loosing the cap. The charge port they changed to a USB-C which is better. I have noticed full charge and a week later the 2.0 is dead where the 1.0 is still full battery power. Wonder if I just have a defective battery in mine. The 2.0 would have been a perfect light is they kept the screw cap back and the battery help a charge more than a week turned off. For this reason I gave 3 stars on battery. It maintained 3 stars because it does run longer on the charge.

I bought one of these to try it out, then bought another although there was one difficulty in use. That difficulty pertains to mounting the modification frame (used for diffuser, color gels, snoot, etc.) The frame does not easily snap on and off. The first time I put a frame on, I had to use great force and angling back and forth. I then despaired of getting the frame off without the use of tools that might damage the product. I found, however, that, after use of the Lume Cube the frame was easier to remove and replace by hand. A better design would use detents to snap on and off. I use two of the Lume Cubes in a studio to illuminate small objects for photography. I use the Lume Cube's diffuser and the Lume Cube Snoot. They stack magnetically onto the modification frame. I also sometimes use a small piece of polarizing sheet between the diffuser and snoot. The magnetic force is strong enough to allow this. It would be handy if Lume Cube would supply a polarizer to fit the modification frame, as well as their other modifiers.

I had a positive buying experience and loving the product!

Pas encore testé sur le terrain, mais je peux déjà dire que les frames ne passent pas sur les cubes... J'ai été obligée de poncer à l'intérieur pour pouvoir les mettre... J'ai aussi des soucis d'appairage Bluetooth. Mes cubes refusent de se connecter.

Très bien fini et des accessoires sympas Je m'attendais à plus de puissance Mais je suis habitué à des frontales très puissantes !

For small scale or up close photography, these little guys can’t be beat. The light simple design, the ability to easily switch between gels, shutters, diffusers, etc is just a dream come true. I honestly regret not buying them sooner.

Parcialmente decepcionado con este artículo, estuve pensándolo por días hasta que me decidí por el lume cube en lugar de el el gopro light mod por las características que ofrecía sobre éste último, y al llegar y abrir el paquete, no contiene los difusores de luz que en la descripción del producto dice que incluye y que fue también por lo que me había decidido por este por encima de el gopro light mod, y los difusores de luz cuestan más caro comprándolos individualmente, mejor haré la devolución del artículo y compraré el gopro light mod.
