Old school audio at its finest
We used Lansar speakers, amps and sub back in the late 80’s and early 90’s and back then they still did the job without fail and they are actually a great company overlooked. People say they blow easy blah blah when it’s really too much power thrown to them when you don’t have to do that to get great sound. Inexperience at its finest. Just because it says 100 or 200watts rms doesn’t me you have to even come near 100 watts rms

Great speakers
I have them in a Dodge Durango and they sound great. JVC headunit with 8 band eq. I replaced a set of Kicker DS 6.75's in the front and a set of Pioneer 2ways in the rear. These speakers cost half as much as either of my previous speakers. The other speakers (2-ways) had no mids and no highs. That is to say the mids or highs did not seem seperated or independent. These are amazing. My headunit has an 8 band eq so i just cut out the sub bass. These speaker push some serious volume clearly. I was going to power them with an amp but now i really dont see a point. Dont be afraid to use your headunits power with these. Got my Lanzar Max 10 in a 1.4 cubic ft box and just waiting to get my Maxp1200 amp to power it and my system will be finished. I was considering tweeters but at this point I think it would be overkill. Give Lanzar (at least the Max or Opti line) a try and I think you will be very suprised at what you get. All of these speakers are made in China anyway. These look great and the kickers i replaced looked cheap. the spider on the 2"midrange looks bigger than the spider on the 6.75 of the kicker. Just sayin.

Entry Level, not worth full list price
Here's an honest review. These are decent. They sound boxy, and the tweeters being 2, aren't really cutting through that much. The woofer really dominates the sound, and even with a blend of different eq's this sound still isn't the best. It's mid heavy on its own and should definitely be paired with higher range speakers or tweeters. I purchased this pair from the warehouse deal section on Amazon for around $8 since I have been curious about the sound of these newer Lanzar's for a few years. For this price, these speakers are fine, work and sound alright, nothing special. Don't expect them to rock out cleanly in your car. They almost sound more like a Midrange, and for. The money you could just purchase a Pyramid Midrange for under $12 each(about the price of these Lanzar's) that's something to think about. For the normal price of $25, they aren't not worth the money, and they should not be considered unless you can purchase them for $10 or less. Buy a pair of Rockford Fosgate's for about $5-10 more if you are looking for musicality (Rockford uses silk dome tweeters and sound really smooth and nice). Not saying Rockford is the only way to go, just price difference is nominal if you are looking for better quality sound or even DS18's are really amazing for the same price range as these. Heck if you can find some Boss or Pyle speakers for around $10 (warehouse deal), I'd recommend those over the Lanzar's for better sound quality. I added a couple of pictures and a video of my work shop set up with an old KLH speaker box customized for car speakers. I have the 6.5in Lanzar's with the Pioneer 4in 2 ways. The Pioneers really helps the high sound quality and pair decently together. Without the Pioneer high range the Lanzar's would be Midrange heavy, as I stated earlier. In the video, I am using a cross over for mids and highs to shine through and a 300hz and below cutting out the low rang and they still sound boxy. If you find them inexpensive, pick them up, why not... Lanzar used to be an amazing and high end company. I have many years of experience with the company in the later 90's early 2000's with their subwoofer's and competitive lines. Unfortunately they are not as quality once they were bought out. I understand that these 6.5 inch speakers are entry level, but they lack sparkle and I've heard Pyle and Boss speakers better than these. One last thought, the magnet isn't that large and the claim that these are 100 Watts RMS per speaker is not a true statement. I believe a fair number should be 45 Watts RMS, if that. The marketing has over hyped these speakers but reality is not on the spec sheet.

Not to Shabby
For the price, these get 5 stars! I used to be a pretty serious audiophile until I had kids. I'll tell you that these babys sound really nice for the small price I paid. I have them running off a 50wx4 Pioneer deck. The mids tend to be more muted than the Pioneer 6.5's I own, but that's the way I like my sound. My son and I both agree they sound as clean as the Pioneer's installed in the other vehicle. Just check your mounting holes on your vehicle. Although these have all those pre-drilled holes, I still had to drill 2 holes out to get it to fit my '05 Odyssey rear locations. Not the speakers fault though.

Quality speakers with an unbelieveable pricetag
I recently bought a 2003 Honda Civic LX sedan and noticed the stock front driver speaker was blown. Any ounce of bass sent a nasty rattle through the speaker. I began searching the big name brands (Polk Audio, Kicker, Pioneer, Sony) and stumbled across Lanzar. I saw the high ratings, price tag, and specifications and figured it was worth a try. I hired an installer and he installed them in the front and rear. Both he and I were impressed. The sound and bass are very clear. The plastics seem to be of high quality. They don't sound muddy at all. I still have the stock radio, so replacing that will be next. I am confident with a new radio with higher power and more control options, I will get an even better sound. If you're looking to replace stock speakers or have blown speakers and would rather not pay a high price for a well-known brand, give these Lanzar speakers a try.

Sound like sheeeeeeeet!
Spend a little more. Not thay great but if all your looking for is a soft suttle background noise these will work. I bought a touch screen doubke din and hooked these up. They sound like pop can speakers.

I got this item based on the good reviews I saw here. I guess it raised my expectations too much. I was very enthusiastic about changing my stock speakers from my '95 Civic to go along with my new Pioneer player. Unfortunately the difference is almost zero. Pros: - Clear med and high Cons: - Bass is non existent - Sound is unnatural, synthetic - Did not fit OEM location like it said in the description. Had to buy some adapters. I guess the only reason is getting 2 stars and not one is the fact that it's working, and I will keep them as it;s too much of a trouble to get them off, send them back. My advice: Keep your money, make the extra effort and get a better set. L.E. With some tweaking and playing with settings and balance I managed to get a bit better sound out of them. 1 Star extra for this

Installed in a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, was able to make these work with the stock speaker brackets with the included clips and screws. Sounds good and works way better than the blown stock speakers

Didn’t really expect much from speakers as cheap as these. Word of warning: Even though Amazon stated that this would fit my vehicle THESE SPEAKERS WILL NOT FIT IN A 1998 HONDA CIVIC. I managed to make it work but neither the speaker cover that comes with this kit or the OEM cover can be fitted over the speakers again. Sound is okay. You get what you pay for.
