*Apple watch was super nice so I could pre-download podcasts & listen (though I had to listen at 1x speed rather than my usual 1.5-2x to maintain focus while swimming). I also tested the Bluetooth to my poolside phone. I know it's not supposed to work, but I wondered if it might work somewhat since the receiver is on the back of my head which is largely outside the water when swimming freestyle, but it didn't - it worked when I wasn't side-breathing, but it was really disruptive on every breath to lose audio because it dipped slightly under the water, then on wall turns audio was lost too (and even disconnected on a long streamline off the wall). So pre-downloaded is the only way to go and the Apple watch gave slick options for that with Spotify/Apple Music, Podcasts, & Audible Audiobooks all pre-downloadable pretty easily. *Downside of using the apple watch for this is it no longer tracks your laps - it depends on the motions of your arms for that so while it's on your head it can't track laps. The play/pause button sometimes seemed like it didn't get back to the music correctly - but that could have been my apple-watch locking or something I suppose. *Bone Conduction audio is surprisingly clear under water & avoids the tendency for in-ear buds to wobble or fall out or feel uncomfortable. But Bone Conduction isn't very good outside the water if there is much of any other noise (hard to hear around other sounds). Ex. at a public pool the swim team & Zumba class made it hard to hear BUT if I put a finger over one of my ears (like a body-guard with an earpiece) I could hear my audiobook while resting on the pool wall. I was worried it would be too loud when I tested it at home since bone conduction audio is still audible to others around you if it's quiet enough and you have it turned up a lot but this is unlikely at a pool just due to the ambient sounds of water/fans/splashing. *Overall a great buy - I'm happy with it and will be using it each time I go for a swim.

Do not buy you are dumping your hard earned money in the trash. This is definitely not worth the money. They failed after the first use. The unit design is more 1990's not 2026 totally rubbish charger and charging points. Good luck if you lose the charger to find replacement. Also, there is no way to know if the unit has fully charged or if it's charging. in any case those details would not make any sense because the battery is rubbish.

LOVE these headphones. easy to attach apple watch and listen to spotify while swimming. there go the days of MP3 downloading!! super easy to use and great sound quality. gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the earbuds did lift up every few strokes and they didn’t sit quite right in my temples. more like in front of my ears due to how i naturally wear my goggles

I purchased these headphones for swimming. I watched the videos and read reviews and was excited to use in the pool. I wanted a device that uses streaming, I don’t have a bank of music for an mp3 player, which a lot of waterproof products are on the market. Unfortunately these do not work, they only work about 5 feet away from my cell phone. As soon as I start swimming they loose connection and it’s says that over and over again in my ear. The sound is great when it works. I even got a waterproof pack to keep my cell phone with me, but it looses signal in the water. That didn’t work either. Disappointing purchase for streaming music.

Sound quality and fit are excellent but since it requires your apple watch to be worn on the back of your head you can't track a swimming workout while listening to spotify or audible.

Omg! This product is the absolute best for pairing with my Apple Watch that charges me a monthly fee for music. Easy to install the watch, have outside pods for under the goggles. Just am absolute find as I am a lap swimmer at least five days a week. Highly recommend this product. Thank you

Product setup was fairly easy and syncing it up with my Apple Watch was relatively easy. Worked for about 3 swimming sessions. On the fourth device started glitching and turning on and off. It would turn on, say battery level at 100% and then suddenly turn off and not turn back on. Then suddenl turn back on again. Starting the return.

Not waterproof, stopped working after 1 use. after i got the refund and the company told me to just toss it. i opened it up to see whether it was fixable and the connections where soldered really poorly, it also had signs of water damage. So i would suggest the company improves their manufacturing process otherwise we are just wasting resources. Even if i got a refund I’m still upset about throwing an electronic device just because not enough care was put when it was made.

I purchased the H2O Interval to replace a 'HIFI Sound Waterproof MP3 player for swimming' that you can also find on Amazon. I wanted the convenience of playing music from Apple Music/Spotify/Amazon Music/Podcasts, without having to buy and download them onto the device. The design of the device is great: it's sturdy where it fits against your head and holds the Apple Watch face and the bone conduction pads are compact and comfortable against your head. The bar that holds the watch in place is rubberised to accommodate different sizes of Apple Watch faces. The volume/skip track controls are easy to find in the water and essential as Apple Watch faces do not work when in water and neither does Siri (unless your phone is nearby or you have the cellular version). I spent ages researching different options and ultimately settled on this because of the Apple Watch integration. Things to bear in mind before buying the H2O Interval: - The device is limited to swimming only as the bone conduction pads and holder for the Apple Watch face attach to goggles. - The device does nothing without an Apple Watch attached. Your watch is the source of music/podcasts. - Apple Watches are designed to get wet but can get water damaged so there is always that risk to consider. - Your Apple Watch cannot track heart rate and other vitals whilst swimming as it is not attached to your wrist. H2O do have their own swim-tracking app though for length counting and goals. - Make sure you've downloaded music/podcasts to your watch in the Watch app on your iPhone. These sync and update automatically so you do not need to always do this.

It works really well - sound can be slightly better with earplugs. However I realized a bit too late that a system with a smartphone near the pool and bone conduction with blue tooth could help you save the purchae of the apple watch ( you can also use the watch to measure performance on your wrist though)
