ORIGINAL GILLÈTTE Metal Head G2, G2 Plus, Schick Super II, Trac II +10 Blades

I had a Trac II that finally gave it up after 20+ years and when I went to buy a new razor I almost hyperventilated at the complexity and the godawful prices of the razors and especially the blades. $4 for one (well, the cartridge had 5 blades in it)? Are you kidding me? Guess not, they were all about the same. I always got a great shave from my Trac II and would have been happy the rest of my life with it. Sooo I go to Amazon, and some of the vendors are selling the GII, which is in fact a Trac II renamed for the European and eastern markets. I ordered two just in case I screw one up. It's the exact same razor and I could not be happier with it! And I'll be ordering enough blades to last for years because it's just insane to pay those crazy prices for a razor when I have one that does everything I want it to do. The product was new in the package, the seller processed and shipped promptly and I'd order again unreservedly.

Very good, gives a great close shave and I can us the same blade 33-4 times. I'm 72 years old so I don'thave a baby beard.

Replaced the old original we had, this one is exactly like it plus a 10 pack of blades. good value

At $18, this seemed like a good deal for the blades alone. As it turned out, the handle is OK, and the blade included in the handle was excellent and I got 2 weeks use from it (maybe it was a Gillette blade?). The 10-pack of additional blades (which bore a paper sticker identifying them as "Personna" were only so-so -- they seemed dull and/or their blade exposure was not as good; I can barely get 1 week from a cartridge, and they "pull" from day 1. I'm wondering if the "Personna" blades are knock-offs. I will surely try genuine Gillette blades next.

I was not interested in buying a new razor that had 3 or 4 blades, or some special swivel head and then have to purchase really expensivereplacement cartridges. This is a simple Trac II handle which is lightweight and long. The thing that surprised me the most is that thereplacements cartridges that come with it really hold their edge. I had thought they may be a cheap generic type that would be dull aftera half dozen uses, but that is not the case.

This razor was everything that the description said it was. You cannot find these razors anywhere, but you can easily find the blades.Hmmmm?? This has always been my go to razor until I could not find them in stores a few years back. The extra blade came withthe razor as well.

I don't like pivoting head razors. I love this razor. It's very good quality. It's the same one, I used 30+ years ago. It's not easy to find theses razors or blades anymore. I purchased a similar one a few years back, but it wasn't very good quality.
