This is the third time I have ordered this product and it works as advertised. My husband takes a blood thinner so every once in a while if he cuts himself shaving, we have a gusher. I have also used it on my neighbors dog when he had a bleeding tumor, and this was the only product that stopped the bleeding until she could take him to the vets. I keep a pack in my medicine cabinet and first aid kit in my car at all times.

Works quickly and well. Used for a knife cut on knuckle- left no residue to clean out later. Bought more for first aid kit, home, car, purse. Light weight/easily portable. I cut a small piece off and used gauze tape to hold it on after cleaning wound well.

I keep this QuikClot gauze packed in my first aid kit for hiking, Jeep trail rides, camping trips, and outdoor adventures where emergency preparedness is important. Thankfully, I haven’t needed to use it yet, but having reliable emergency medical supplies on hand provides extra peace of mind when traveling in remote areas or off-road locations. The packaging is compact and easy to store without taking up much space in a backpack, recovery bag, or vehicle first aid kit. As always, quick clot is a little expensive But in the time I need, it really makes it nice to help slow down the bleeding

They used something very similar to this when a loved one nearly chopped their finger off. So, after we were sent home from the ER I bought this (because I had to change the dressings). Works great.

Just what I wanted

Designed for use in emergency situations to help bring about blood clots in a wound. Kaolin is a naturally occurring mineral clay which helps promote the formation of blood clots. It is impregnated into a gauze bandage which covers an open wound, Once applied and held with some pressure it will allow a clot to occur twice as fast as with direct pressure alone. Do not remove this gauze unless under medical supervision. If the wound continues to bleed just apply another gauze over the original, removal will break open any clots already forming. Always seek medical advice following the use of this product. If you have never used this product, buy two and practice with one before use.

Classic packing gauze, except it is marketed (and illustrated on the package) as something to be applied on top of the wound. That could definitely work, but main reason for getting a packing gauze, is to get a packing gauze! And it may be used in conjunction with just packing that joint cavity wound with a simple sterile gauze, putting the blood stopper on top. Just listen to your first aid instructor (certainly not me - I just have an opinion), and buy more of these - they are good.

Lifesavers if you are on blood thinners. These provide instant clotting to small cuts or scrapes that won’t stop bleeding.

These are pretty small for the price but I knew that going into it.
