This works great!

I ordered this DVD player back in January and was very happy with it. It was nice and big and the screen resolution was decent. Up until about 2 weeks ago it worked great when all the sudden the screen turned bright pink and some of the pixels started dying around the edges make it nearly impossible for movie viewing. Obviously, I was a little frustrated but I reached out to the Sunpin customer service about the warranty on the device and was very pleasantly surprised! The player had a 12 month warranty so I was covered by it and after answering a few questions and a little back and forth, the company said they would send me another one ASAP. I was very pleased as good customer service is very important to me and something you can't always count on these days. Overall, I would say the the player is very good quality and I just got a fluke. It has a good resolution and a long battery life. Also, having the ability to flip the screen back on it's self is a huge plus and something I use a lot. Very pleased overall and would definitely buy again and recommend.

I have returned this portable DVD / media player for 2 reasons. Overall build quality is good, I would highly recommend this unit for anyone needing casual portable content playability. However, (return reason #1) for my needs, the ability to navigate an audio CD content (without a lot of fuss) is a big must, as we have members in our Church that sing or play an instrument and will bring their backing tracks in the form of a USB flash drive or an audio CD. The ability to navigate these and cue / pause / hold their track is a must. This is easy enough for flash drives, it gets inserted, and a content menu appears once read and I can arrow down to the desired track. With the CD however, no menu appears, the first song of the CD immediately starts, and it will stop on command only after the track starts. Moving to any other song within and cuing it up so that it sits there and waits for the start command is very awkward. Moreover, the audio quality seems to lack richness and bottom end, and sounds a little scratchy...not an overdrive / running out of headroom / clipping distortion, just a general lack of detail. To be clear, the external audio out is plugged into a sound system. And I have tried other CD/ Flash players in this price range and lower that sound full. So...would I recommend this unit? It depends on the audience. For someone needing to watch DVDs, listen to audio CDs / flash media casually, and need the portability, absolutely! For someone needing random cue-ability and great audio quality, not so much.

This item was defective. Every time the screen was barely touched the DVD would stop. Sent back//// UPDATE: Seller reached out and sent another unit for me to try again. This unit works great. Screen was fine this time. The unit is very simple to use and that was important to me as it was going to be a gift for my elderly mother. She has issues with learning new things and this one was very basic and easy to use. I did have to adjust the brightness because it seemed to be rather dark but with slight adjustments the picture is very good. I wish it had Bluetooth so you didn't have to be tied to it but I haven't found any that have Bluetooth.

This was very disappointing. It worked for a couple of months and the refused to work at all. DVDs that were played with no problem, were suddenly unreadable. Do not waste money on this thing.

The 17.9" screen is about as large as you would want for a portable DVD player, and has fine resolution. The screen swivels, which is a nice feature, especially if you're using it in making a presentation. It has USB and sound card inputs, which adds to versatility. The remote is full featured. The controls are clearly labeled and easy to master. Overall, the product is impressive both as to features and build quality. Customer service is friendly and responsive to inquiries, which is always a plus.

The first product I purchased had major challenges out the gate forcing me to send it back, disappointed I am sorry to say I didn't leave a positive review. Then to my shock I was contacted by Wendy from customer support they apologized and wanted to make things right and that they stand behind their product. She told me they would be willing to replace the item I purchased and wanted the opportunity to earn my business. Frankly I didn't believe it and thought it was perhaps a scam. She assured me it wasn't. First, I was stunned by a proactive outreach to a customer to make things right. This has never happened to me. The past week I had tried to get customer service from two other companies only to be on hold for 3-4 hours and being transferred to 3 people non whom could help resolve the issue, then having the call drop or just be disconnected. To my dismay I realized the customer doesn't matter any more, and I grew up when customers who purchased a service or product were the life blood of the company. Times are changing for sure and not often for the better. True to Wendy's word a replacement showed up at my door to my surprise and delight. What was even more exciting is when I put in a disc it played beautifully, then I thought I wonder if I can play my healing CD's. The quality of the sound was amazing for a portable device and I have to say I felt an intense feeling of joy and happiness which brought on a big old grin and truly a sense of deep gratitude. I would like to thank Wendy and Sun Spin for renewing my hope in humanity and a company that still care about their company. Well done!

This player is great small enough to be used by older, immobilised lady who is very happy to be able to watch her older DVDs. She is very grateful to have this item in her hospital room. Hope it lasts longer than 12 month warranty.

I’m so delighted with the picture quality, and value.At 82 it’s given me a new leases of life looking at all the dvds of family and friends. Well worth the money.So handy as a portable.

This was so handy during the ice storm when our power was out for 9 days, helped keep myself and my kids sane. It charged quickly during the short periods we had our generator on and the battery lasted quite a while. The screen is huge so we could all see perfectly and it was nice it came with a remote so we could stay bundled up. Would recommend, great for cottages, camping or on the go.

Large screen, great images & sound. Very happy with purchase. Just ensure you have an incoming plug adaptor as only has USA plug.
