Tavern Maiden Costume

Love this costume!! It fists true to size and is very flattering!! I got so many compliments on it. The only con is the belt. I ended up using my own belt. But you really don’t even need a belt. I also didn’t lace the top part up all the way and it looked great! Great costume for the price!

This was a perfect costume for me. I was Maid Marian and my husband, Robin Hood and it was more than expected. It's quite flattering. The size runs "fitted". I am normally a medium on top and a size 10 pant, so I have hips and a chest, but a small waist. I ordered the size L and it fit perfect. The bustle is a bit hard to work with (I'm a C cup, 36 round) and the second time I wore the dress one of the loops broke, this probably won't happen with someone who may have a smaller chest. - nothing I can't fix because the dress itself is darling! I got many compliments wearing it and it was surprisingly comfortable. I'm 5'6 and the dress came to bottom of my calf, top of my ankle, just enough to wear a high boot. You'll want to wear a strapless bra or a bra that has straps that can be easily tucked out wide. The vest comes wide and doesn't run along a normal bra line. The price and product are perfect for what you are getting! And it was a wonderful relief having something fit so lovely without having the ability to try it on or see it in person before purchasing.

Pros: I was pretty worried about the sizing - I'm very pear shaped, so I have trouble finding clothes that fit my waistline and super-curvy hips while not falling off my B cups. I generally wear an XL, and the XL costume fits me pretty well even though costumes tend to run a size small. I did have to pin up the material around my bust. It is not made for women with B cups. But all I had to do was loosen the ribbons a bit and it fits my waist fine, and the skirt works for my curvy hips and butt. So pear shapes, if you're worrying, as long as you know someone who can fix up the bustline you should be good. The straps of the corset part conveniently hide the alterations if you put the stitches/pins behind them. The shipping was also very quick, I'm impressed. I received it two days after ordering it. Cons: The belt is useless. The material slides easily and there's nothing holding it in place, so it slides loose when you move. Just toss it. I basically got scammed with this item. I originally ordered it when there was one left in stock and paid most of the $36 balance with a $25 gift card, leaving the remaining $11 to my mother's credit card. (I'm sixteen, just so we're clear, and I gave her cash for the $11.) Someone else had apparently gotten to the last one before me, because when I checked the next day my order had disappeared. Now, if the company runs out of stock they're supposed to hold my order until they restock. Instead they canceled it. (They did refund my gift card and my mom's credit card, so I didn't have to fight them on that.) The next day I checked back and the costume had been restocked, so after double-checking that the cards had been refunded, I re-ordered the dress. Funnily enough, the price had somehow been raised $8. That pissed me off, so I canceled halfway through the order and tried to find another costume. There wasn't anything else within my budget that didn't look like a pornstar's outfit. So I was forced to order this one. But I'm still really annoyed. Cute dress though.

This tavern maiden costume is great! Especially for the price! I am 5'3" and around 145. This dress came down to my ankles and fit beautifully . I've read a lot of reviews suggesting that buyers go up a size, but this fit true to me. I'm usually size 8 and this was just right. I was comfortable in it and it really looks nice. The material isn't plastic-y like it has been on other lower priced costumes I've ordered. It's durable and I didn't have any issues with the corset part. I purchased it for the Renaissance festival and I fit right in. The belt is flimsy, sure, but i just tied it to the loop and it served its purpose without slipping. The look was right. When I first bought the dress I was in a time crunch and thought it would probably work to make it through one Ren fest, but this beautiful dress will be my go-to for years to come. I love it!

Great costume! Does not look or feel cheap at all. Good value. I got many compliments! I like that you can change accessories and use as renaissance, boho, pirate, etc. I wear a small (4-6) but got a Medium as smalls were out. Glad I did. The top fit big, but you can stitch it for a better fit. The rest was perfect! As described and surrvervwuick delivery! I added a wreath of flowers in my hair.

Ok. This was a good look and fit alright for my size petite 8/cup 34c. Ended up making my own costume because the last thing I wanted to do was re-stitch the loops on to thread the cheap ribbon(knotted the ends to prevent unravelling)through. They came undone on the first fitting and I didn't have to force myself into it. It is warm here in Hawaii and I was cooking a Halloween dinner. The skirt too warm to wear. I will wear it for my son's eighth pirate birthday party in February. Belt was too cheap, so I put it around my son to keep his sword on. Right for the price if you don't mind sewing on the loops.

I have used this halloween outfit for many years now. I have borrowed it to friends as well. The material is very good and long lasting quality. It fits true two size. I would definitely buy again from this company.

Our family attended a pirate murder mystery dinner at a friend’s house during a beach vacation where we each needed to dress our character. I was a tavern bar maid and this outfit fit the bill 100%! The price was very reasonable for the product. The fabric was thick, well tucked, and tailored. The colors were true and complimentary of each other. I was incredibly comfortable wearing it all evening. I liked that it covered my chest for modesty. Although if someone were chubbier or bustier than me I suppose their chest might show out the top … which some might prefer. I felt confident, comfortable, and in character wearing this outfit. It really is well designed with excellent details to fit the costume and give it that extra nice touch! I liked it so much I honestly wish I had more opportunities to wear it. I have kept it in my closet hoping for another chance to rewear it.

I don’t often write reviews or leave feedback on purchases but this outfit’s quality is exceptional. I ordered a size up (XL) ( usually a L. 12-14) and it fits perfectly. In addition, I was really impressed by the quality of the fabric, the finish and attention to detail. At £30 I feel this is really good value for money.

Great costume - fits a bit smaller than normal sizing, but was okay for me.

Very well made costume a little small on my wife lady's go one size bigger with this one.

This arrived very quickly and is very quality for the price. The only thing that let's it down was the belt as as soon as you move it just slips undone. It was really comfortable and looked great.

Did not match with the size on Amazon I ordered large and it came through with 10-12 on the package , x large is 12-14. But nice quality costume
