Premium spotting scope at a great value
I decided to purchase this spotting scope because I was so impressed with the GoSky 10x42 binoculars. I wanted a more powerful optic to add to my kit that I take with me while doing geological fieldwork. Again, I have been thoroughly impressed. This spotting scope arrived in very secure packaging, completely encapsulated in a secure foam cutout. It is nice to know that the vendor takes this kind of care into consideration when shipping their product. My immediate reaction to this scope is that it emulates another brand of optics that specializes in spotting scopes. However, this other brand has similar scopes in the $899 to $1500 price range. My GoSky scope is $289.99 at the time of purchase. The GoSky scope features an 80mm objective lens which excels at gathering light. This means more accurate colors when viewing objects in the daytime. The large objective lens also allows you to see more celestial objects at night. I was able to clearly make out individual craters on the moon when using this scope. The GoSky scope feels hefty and robust. This is a good thing. It is important to understand that you will need a sturdy tripod while using this scope. Your image will be too shaky if you use this scope as a handheld. This is to be expected with most optics over 10x magnification. The zoom feature is located on the eyepiece and is variable between 20x magnification and 60x magnification. It feels smooth and sturdy when adjusting. The dual-speed focus is located in front of the eyepiece. This also works as expected and allows for very fine tuning of your image clarity. The provided case for the scope is a little thin and a tight fit but does the job. My only complaint is that the scope does not easily fit in the bag with my tripod mount attached. There is a zipper on the bottom of the case for this but it still requires a bit of maneuvering to fit properly. However, this is really a non-issue at the price and is just nitpicking. The provided cellphone camera attachment works wonderfully. With little trouble, I placed my camera in the mount and attached it to the scope. It required no adjustment thereafter. Furthermore, GoSky provides a small pamphlet to help improve your image using this mount. Finally, this scope features a side swivel that allows you to rotate the scope on a tripod. This is useful if you want to change the angle at which you are looking through the eyepiece. I highly recommend this scope!

Excellent Quality Spotting Scope! Worth Every Penny!
I'm an avid bird watcher that needed a quality spotting scope that could help to see further than with my binoculars and to use for bird photography. This Gosky dual focusing spotting scope definitely helps identify birds that are at a great distance away and takes excellent quality photos. I used a Motorola Moto Z4 with an Otterbox case for the photos and the smartphone adapter that came with this scope adjusts easily to fit a larger phone. The materials that were used in this Gosky spotting scope feel like high quality materials and seems to be a solid build. The dual focusing knob and zoom ring are very fluid and turn with ease. The dual focusing knob is a nice feature because it really helps to create quality photos and see great detail on the object you are viewing from a great distance. When purchasing a tripod, I would definitely recommend to get a heavy duty tripod with a fluid head because this scope isn't compact. Also if your phone does not have a phone with voice command to take pictures, buy yourself a bluetooth remote so you don't have to tap your phone when taking photographs and distort the image. Overall I was really impressed with the quality of the photographs taken with this Gosky spotting scope and how well built it is. This scope will allow you to identify birds or any type of wildlife without spooking the animals by getting really close. If this review helped in your decision, please mark helpful.

Great value for the money !!!
The Price vs. quality ratio is great for this scope. Very clear and sharp at 20x and very decent at 60x and several miles distance. Much better than a $500 scope I have. I am going to compare it to two $1600+ scopes and will update the review. The only issue is when focusing fine or coarse at 60x the image rotates/moves slightly but nothing prohibitive.

need improvement
The spot scope works but needs improvement The fine focusing is not working stable, the knob is very loose, and the image was shaking while it is being tuned, therefore, there is no way to do the fine tuning. Also, the cellphone holder design needs to improve. It is hard to hold the cellphone at the right angle while one needs to tight the holder to the scope. This caused a big problem to use this scope. Also the company does not provide the valid telephone number for customers to contact them. They list their telephone number in San Francisco as 1-123-456-7890. That is not helpful at all.

Sight Scope for Class Field trips
I purchased this scope for the main purpose of viewing wildlife with students while on hiking field trips. It is a huge upgrade in quality from the one I had previously been using and therefore I feel it is a great value for the price point. It is compact and lightweight enough to carry in my backpack all day or even separately in its carrying case. The set up is efficient and especially quick and easy to rotate the position of the eyepiece to accommodate different heights of the students as they are taking turns looking through it. I wasn't sure if the cell phone adapter would be compatible with my iPhone 12 pro since it has multiple cameras, but with a little practice you can isolate the best option of the phone's cameras and successfully take photos. Overall I am very satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to others leading groups in the outdoors. The customer service was very helpful and attentive as well, so if you have any questions about the scope it is worth your effort to contact them.

Great buy for those on a budget!
For reference, I own the 20-60x60 Gosky scope from several years ago that is going for about $100 now. I used the old scope to compare against this new and improved scope. I think Gosky is a great optics company for someone on a budget like myself. I actually own a pair of the binoculars for my wife that exceeded my expectations for the money. I compared them to my Bushnell’s, and they kept up in every category. Pros: More clarity from close and long range. The new scope was much clearer from the 400-yard test I did. The image was also a little brighter as well. The focus dial has been improved which is actually really nice. If you look at the photos Gosky posted there are 2 sections on the focus wheel. One for getting close to focused and one for getting what I call detail focused. It’s actually a really cool feature. You can use one dial for dramatic focus assuming you are way out of focus then use the detail focus wheel to get a really clear view without shaking the scope because the wheel spins so smoothly. The eyepiece has been enlarged. At first, I was unsure that I like this but during testing it turned out to be one of the key advantages over the older scope. I use mine for hunting and shooting at the range, the wider eyepiece allows for less strain on the eye assuming you will be glassing for long periods at a time. It was also easier to look through, you did not have to take a lot of time to align your eye with the object being scoped. This was a huge improvement. The eye piece twists out to extend like the old one which is a great feature. The zoom knob works smoothly as it should. The lateral side to side scope adjustment also works well and rotates very smoothly. The new smartphone attachment is really nice and a huge upgrade from their last version. I don’t use the retractable sunshade/rain guard all that much, but it is a nice feature to have just in case. The carrying case was beefed up and you can actually leave it on while glassing as there is a zipper on the bottom that would open up to allow attachment to a tripod mount. The new scope outperformed the older one in every way other than a couple of key cons. Cons: The weight: this new scope was a lot heavier than the older one. I weighed the old one at 2 pounds 8 ounces. The new scope is 3 pounds 13 ounces. For someone that backpack with their scope this is a big difference. The lens cover: The new lens cover seems nice at first, but this needs to be improved. It stays on the scope great, the hard part is getting it off the scope. It is almost suctioned to the scope. I actually tied a little paracord loop on the lens cover where they left a hole on the lens cover and it pulls off a little easier now. They also did not include a leash like they do with the older ones. Overall the new scope is a huge improvement and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for something tough and reliable at this price point.

Beautiful Scope, Excellent Cust Serv. Dual Focus 20-60x80
Super fast safe delivery, great reusable packaging. I got the latest model for the dual focus control and it doesn't disappoint.. but I'm here to also complement the excellent Customer Service from Gosky Opticszone. I got my rig ready to take in the last lunar event when along came the Grandson... toppled the tripod, smashed the ocular eyepiece on the table and destroyed it. Thankfully the eyepiece sacrificed it's life to save the scope.. Unsure what to do next I contacted Gosky Opticszone from the seller info links, got hold of the Customer Service folks who went out of their way to get me fixed. The sent me some video aid and several written instructions and finally a new lens assembly to replace the broken one. Huge thank you to Alan and the whole Customer service team.. you guys are great! Scope is restored to new and is just amazing! Thanks, Steven

Awesome Value and Solidly Built
I've only had this scope for a few days, but so far I am really pleased. The build quality is quite high and the scope has an overall solid put-together feel. Nothing seems fragile. The whole kit includes the scope itself, case, lens cloth, and instruction slick sheet (which I've uploaded). The package came shipped with high density protective foam in a custom cardboard box (although it didn't have a tamper sticker). It has a standard mounting attachment and is quite heavy. The scope dimensions are roughly 15.5 inches length and 4 inches width. Regarding optics, I've encountered no issues or artifacts from use during the day or night. In my view this is a great value for the price. GoSky Optics seems to be a responsive company as well.

Quality scope
Just had this scope delivered, I must say I’m really impressed. The build quality is excellent, setting up was very easy. Focused on a tree about 500 yards away and went through the magnification range and for the money I thought the clarity is very good. I found the dual focusing easy to use, as I said before for the money it’s excellent value. Would recommend to anyone. Would recommend a strong stable table scope to mount it on.

Erstaunlich gut
