The Saris Fluid 2 works well for me
The Fluid 2 works well for me. I've settled on using it with my old, steel framed winter bike, on a concrete floor with a doormat made of coconut matting under the front wheel to level and steady it. The feet on the trainer are easily adjusted so I’ve had no problem getting a firm, level placement on the floor. I have 32mm Schwalbe Marathon tyres on the bike and the trainer produces a moderate hum when turning modest gears, 36x18 and 50x21 at 90 rpm, maybe something like a slow spin on a washing machine. Increasing the speed of the back wheel or using chunkier tyres increases the noise and resistance of the Saris. I've tried it with my MTB on chunky 1.95 tyres and it was a lot noisier and considerably harder work. Although specified for 120/130/135 rear spacings the bike I'm using has 126 spacing and is held just as firmly as the 130 and 135 spaced bikes I've tried. As the clamp is spring loaded I suspect it would be OK with anything between 120 and 135. Many years ago I used rollers frequently and recall they gave a smoother ride and were possibly quieter. In those days I would push big gears in excess of 100 rpm to compensate for the lower resistance. If I had retained the same high level of balance and co-ordination I would prefer rollers but that is not to denigrate the Fluid 2, which is a much safer option. Despite the initially disconcerting flex in my steel frame the rear end has been held firmly by the Saris. I've deducted a point for the poor finishing of the alloy castings on the Fluid 2; many burrs and swirls haven't been removed. When I first saw it I thought I had been sent a second but a look at a few photos on various websites showed the same finish. I guess that's the level of quality Saris is prepared to pay for and it doesn't appear to interfere with the performance of the Fluid 2, at least in the short term. In summary, the Fluid 2 has been ideal for my modest requirements over the 3 or 4 hours I’ve used it so far.

Good but additional part needed for bikes with thru-axle
This was relatively easy to set up by watching videos on the SARIS page (although I recommend watching all the way through once then again as you go - there's key information you'll miss in the assembly process otherwise). It's not too heavy or cumbersome and works as it's supposed to and the bike feels pretty secure within it. However, the way that you attach the bike to the machine is via the skewer/axle on the rear wheel (the bit that goes through the wheel); this comes with a special skewer that you use while on the trainer. I wish I'd known that the skewer isn't compatible with thru axles; this is what most modern road and gravel bikes have now, but doesn't come as standard with the kit so it's necessary to buy this separately (around £40). In my case, I've not been able to locate the correct size SARIS thru axle adapter online which means I can't use my road bike on the machine. Fortunately I've also got a mountain bike with the older skewer system, so I can use the trainer while I wait, but it's *really* loud given the chunky tyres and so is far from ideal.

Two months of use and there is a very loud rumble and product is unusable
This is the fourth Saris/Cyclops trainer I have owned. All previous ones have great. However, after two months of use on this Fluid2 it has developed a very loud rumble that has rendered it useless. There is no visible wear on roller, so has most definitely not been over used.

Buena calidad
Si quieres o necesitas esa característica busca otro modelo. Si no, este va perfecto.

Noisy engine. Plastic resistance knob broke from first use.

Calidad/precio
No habia utilizado antes un entrenador, se siente y se ve de muy buena calidad, facil la instalación, en mi caso lo ocupo para una bicicleta fixie piñón fijo y siento realmente el esfuerzo, es justo lo que buscaba para entrenar en casa.
