Favorite series
Sunny has quickly become one of my favorite manga series. It is probably the only series where i go back and re read specific chapters multiple times (i have read the first 4 volumes about 5 times each). The stories in this volume were great and i can already see the great re read potential this volume has. the only bad thing is that this volume expands a lot emotionally with many of the characters (especially sei). You may ask why this is a bad thing? Well that is because i learned recently that the Sunny manga will be ending in Japan later this month meaning the next volume will be the last in the series and I am afraid we won't get much closure in some of these characters stories. Matsumoto himself said in an interview that he was going to make the series around 6-7 volumes long so i am pretty sure it is not because it got cancelled. Either way i am looking forward to the next and final volume and all the times in the future i will read this series. It is a fantastic series filled with emotion and amazing artwork. Always have a great time reading.

The best volume in the series so far
Oh. wow. Exceptional! I was choked up holding back the tears. The best volume in the series so far! Each chapter still focuses on one child and is episodic, yet like the other volumes there is a theme. This time we see the real suffering and desperation these foster kids from dysfunctional families are going through. The book starts off pretty sad and continues in that vein almost bringing me to tears then comes a story where it's the child who has the strength in her unique situation and for the final story something a little different as everyone gathers together while a typhoon rolls in. Exceptional writing and excellent illustration make this the most literary manga I've ever read. Highly recommended!!

The book was a present and being taiyo Matsumoto and sunny, I'm waiting to read it myself - always thought provoking, melancholy and full of detail. Can't go wrong with the bookseller either - very reliable.

Maybe the best volume so far
In my opinion, one of the best in the series along with number 1. I really enjoyed witnessing more in depth the character's fears and the grey areas of their personalities.
