Nixplay Smart Digital Picture Frame I 15 inch I Black I WiFi I Shared Family Playlists I Mobile App, Email I Preload Content for a Gifted Frame

I bought this for my wife as a birthday present: more than we typically spend on each other, but I knew she would love it. And does she ever. Our old digital picture frame hasn't been updated for years and is far too small for mass vieing. I bought this so that we could easily add pictures through wifi. Quick review: love it. Worth it. Buy it. Slightly longer review: Positives- Great image quality, features, and functionality. The frame itself looks nice as well. It sits on a shelf with a bunch of other picture frames and looks right at home among them. I love the movies and the audio with them (though you can mute the sound when neccesary). Adding images couldn't be easier. Movies...well...more about that in a moment. The allowed online image space (without subscription) is quite good and should be enough for most people. Love it. Negatives- Just a couple here. The biggest in my opinion is the difficulty with adding videos. I have many old videos that I wanted to add from my computer (I really don't use my phone as a camera very often. I'm a professional photographer and even for around-the-house-family-time-images I generally grab my DLSR). The pictures I can just drag onto the web based image add feature. The videos won't. Those I had to upload to my phone/tablet to add them. Not the biggest thing in the world, but I had many videos I wanted to add. A bit of a pain. But certainly better than our old frame. My only other negative is the speakers: they are decent but certainly not great. It tends to be a bit tinny sounding and lacking depth. But it's not to the point that I feel it deserves to downgrade the overall rating of the frame. End result: love it. My wife and I often stand and just watch the images and movies for long stretches of time. Great way to display thousands of images (and this coming from a guy who loves his "wall of images" filled with children). While I will always print out our family images (at least until they have an affordable 11 x 14 digital picture frame) I will always want this picture frame on display as well.

I had a digital Nix frame for quite a few years and liked it very much except the process of adding new pictures was a total pain. I had stacks of photos to put in that just sat there for months on end! We did some research and decided to upgrade to the Smart Frame. I started adding photos last night and finished this morning. I also added from my phone. I put in over 3200 pictures so far and it was so easy! I did a live chat with a super friendly lady when I came across a couple of issues where I was stumped. She was very helpful and got my questions answered promptly. One small issue I had (that I didn't ask about) was that a couple of the photos came through sideways. I couldn't figure out how to turn them, so I just deleted those. It was probably only about 12 out of 3200 so no big deal. So far I am totally thrilled with the upgrade and would recommend this frame to everyone. I would like to also add that before my mom passed away, she was in a nursing home. We bought her a Nix frame (the original kind) and it truly became one of her most prized possessions! She had her frame for about four years and we had a few (small) issues with it over the years. Whenever I contacted Nix, they were over the top helpful and solved our issues quickly and completely each time. Customer service is top notch!

I have had 4 digital frames over the years. Each one had it's challenges. Biggest challenge on all of these was adding and deleting pictures. With that said, I would just live with the original pictures loaded. Two weeks ago, my Kodak framed died. I started researching. I ordered a few others and returned them. Finally decided to spend the extra money and try Nixplay. Setup was done in 30 minutes which included loading all my pictures from my phone. Quality is fantastic. My 88 year old mother is by herself during COVID19. I dropped off the loaded frame in front of her door. She plugged it in and all worked beautifully! She loves it so much! I ordered the largest frame for me. This setup was about 10 minutes. Easy to delete and add from my phone. Sharing pictures all the time with my mom. I'm going to purchase a 3rd one for my sister. I love being able to walk into my kitchen and see all the wonderful pictures from my phone. I highly suggest this frame. Worth every dime!

As I read others' reviews prior to purchase I was concerned that several people complained about the setup. For me, it went very smoothly. Plugged in the unit, downloaded the App, and uploaded the photos. No problems. Well, that's not entirely true. I tried to upload 80+ pics at once, and it pooped out around 60. So far I have set up two playlists, and one complaint I have is that it took a while to figure out how to add pictures to the right playlist. The App is very good at accessing my photos, and directing me to upload. But it took me a couple of tried before I figured out how to insert them into the right playlist. Not as simple as it should be. But easy, once I figured it out. At first I was a bit distressed about the aspect ratio. The proportions of height and width do not conform to any of my pictures. So I had lots of weird filler in the gaps between landscape pics vs portrait orientation. But Nixplay has a nifty solution. It wasn't immediately obvious, but if you go to "Smart face framing" it solves the problem. Basically, it reformats the photo to fit the screen. This works especially well on panorama shots, which are displayed as a camera moving across the panorama. I think this is a great addition, and I wish the documentation was clearer about showing me how to implement it. (Settings>Labs). Once I figure out how to use it, I am delighted with this product. I would recommend the App be updated to make it more intuitive. I shouldn't have to wrestle the features out of it. The sensor recognition works well. I like that it mixes videos with portraits and panoramas seamlessly. We shall see about durability, but, after one day, I am very pleased with this product.

This was a great picture frame. You can connect it to the cloud and control/update your gallery very easily. Good display quality too. But for the price, I expected it to last longer than two years. It suddenly started cutting off. And after a few restart attempts, it died altogether. No remedy outside the 6-month warranty period.

We've had some other, smaller video frames that used onboard storage and upgraded recently to the Nixplay to get a bigger picture, but also to take advantage of all the features that come with a networked product. From the nice packaging to all the thoughtful guidance on the screen during set up - we never even opened the literature that came with it. We were up and running with a few hundred pictures in a matter of minutes. From there the iOS App was used to select a few up to the minute events with movies too. Great! Settings are thoughtfully laid out and just make sense. Noticed that older lower res shots look great as do really high res DLSR shots (as expected). It's a very nice screen with a matt finish that produces very little glare. I do wish there was a true Ken Burns effect, but likely not enough processor power to pull that off... All in all - very satisfied.

Update: reached out to support which turned out to be quick and - mostly - painless. I am happy to say they honor their warranty and at the end of the day that’s all anyone can ask for. Original: The screen went bad. 30% if it now flickers over any photo. When the frame worked it was fantastic and easy to use. Given the cost of the frame, I did not think it had such a short lifespan. I have 2 identical frames so it will be interesting to see how long the other one lasts. I almost considered purchasing another one but this new snag in quality just had me apply the breaks.

Bought this for my Mother in Law for Mothers day. This replaced a 5 year old NIX that recently died. She was beyond excited especially with the features that allowed her family to continually send her photos. Setup was easy, a couple of my relatives had trouble figuring out how to send pictures via the internet, but my daughter got it right away and was able to assist them. Once you get that down, it's a breeze. Pictures are sharp and clear, and this thing is awesome. Will be getting one for my own home.

J’ai beaucoup de photos que je retouche et souhaite regarder régulièrement Ce cadre Nixplay est vraiment bien et l’application efficace. Je télécharge rapidement des photos 10 secondes après l’avoir prise. Simple, efficace et de bonne facture le cadre ainsi que la dalle est très propre.

Risoluzione HD, si vedono i primi 15' di video con audio, la capacità di foto anche senza sottoscrivere abbonamenti è molto buona, telecomando utile. App per caricare foto da più dispositivi funziona bene, ha il limite di 100 foto alla volta, ma anche questo considerato che uno fa una selezione non sembra un limite. Molto soddisfatti dell'acquisto, in famiglia è diventata punto di attrazione quasi ipnotica.
