Truth Hurts, Propain, Awesome
For me personally Pro-Pain are the stand out metal act of the last two decades and as we sit here in 2015 with their latest masterpiece - Voice of Rebellion (see separate review) im getting nostalgic and regressing back to 1994, which isn't the year Meskil started this epic adventure but it was the year I first listened to Pro-Pain, I was 20, a fan of the defunct Crumbsuckers and I bought Truth Hurts based on Gary Meskil being in both bands, it wasn't an instant favourite and took time to be appreciated but when the penny dropped I just loved the sheer brutality on offer, and now 21 years later it has seasoned beautifully and it is still a standout moment in Metal, even my username on amazon is a nod of respect to this colossal release....After 15 awesome Studio album releases I couldn't even begin to try to pick a favourite but this cd still gets regular play time from a collection of over 500 cds... it is .... in short a masterpiece, a hardcore/metal ear assault of savagery. The whole disc is a highlight with Denial probably being the weakest song, but Make War (Not Love), The Truth Hurts, One Man Army and Switchblade knife are all excellent examples of brutality perfectly executed, I also think Put the Lights out with Ice T works really well, and my username namesake Bad Blood is an all time great.... but the menacing Beast Is Back is the real frenzy whipper, 9th song in and by the time it finishes you could wrestle a bull.. and win!!!!Im not even sure if anybody will read this review but if you do I hope that The Truth Hurts has meant as much to you as it has to me....

A classic
A classic from 1994. Very heavy and brutal music/lyrics with all the original art which is quite grim. One of Pro-Pain's best albums.
