Serves it's purpose, with some modifications.
4 stars Only because our cats love it and not because the product quality. Our three kittens (under 1 yr) love it. Or oldest lives the highest perch, but is past playing and climbing up the poles, so we mostly have to put him up there.Okay now on to the product itself. Agreeing with the review below- the instructions are not very clear at all and I has to refer to the picture online before I even began to understand it. The sizes of the poles do NOT match the instructions and there was one that was longer than the rest. We used this one for one of the top poles since it didn't have to line up with another. One major flaw which required some homemade modifications, is the bottom cave/cubby/house. It is VERY unstable since it is not stabilized from above. Even when a small kitten puts their weight on it, it wants to lean forward. When we were trying to tighten the post into the screw, the finished part came off the black plastic base in the bottom, making it further unstable. Then when the rest of the shelves and parts are put in, it cannot stand straight up and is forced to lean forward anyway. So after playing around with bungee cords to stabilize it, we decided they looked too tacky and would get in the cats' way, so we drilled a screw through the back of the cubby to attach it to the shelf behind it. And to secure the base, we drilled a screw or two into the bottom trying to ensure it wouldn't come off the plasric base. We debated screwing some more screws into the very bottom, underneath to prevent it from moving at all, but decided against it. Mostly out if being tired of working on it for 30 min and it was already constructed so would have been difficult to get enough access to the bottom to complete this. After some modifications, we were able to make this work. We love that it is tall enough to lift or cats all the way up any wall, we carpeted the top of one of our valances so they can hang out above the sliding glass door. We also love that two cays can for inside the upper "penthouse" as they call it. And we love the three beds on the very top. Our kittens have had so much fun on it, and I believe slept on it all night. Would probably opt for a higher quality one next time, but this was not bad for it's price! Just wishing the shipping didn't bring it up to total $85! Still comparable to a $200+ towers we've seen at Petco etc.

A real challenge to assemble!
I wanted something that was different and this seemed fit the bill. It took a bit longer than promised to arrive and arrived in two huge boxes. They were so heavy I could not have moved them myself without additional help. It took a couple of weeks before we got around to assembling it. Then the fun began. The directions are an exploded-image pictorial with no words to explain anything although someone added a handwritten notation on it in red ink that made no sense. The pieces are not labeled and are in metric measurements. It's impossible to tell which post is which without a metric ruler or even which posts go where. Some of the posts are not roped covered and are apparently meant to slide into other posts but they didn't fit. In our finished product the tall stand on the left (in photo) is actually shorter than the top "cave". Also, in the photo it has two hammocks. The attachment posts are supposed to have holes to attach the hammocks with but we couldn't find them on the posts for the upper one. The bottom "cave" front arrived cracked and is poorly finished. The three surrounding particle board walls of it stick up above the front "roof" by around 2". The directions were unclear about how to attach the useless ladder as well although my husband made it work. The underside of the highest shelf isn't finished and since it is so tall, the particle board is readily visible. Adding the "rug" to the underside would've been a nice finishing touch. All in all it is a real challenge to assemble. Our cat likes the dangling ball but isn't real stoked on the thing as a whole. Maybe it would be OK for more than one cat but I guess I overestimated the fun factor for her. It wasn't fun putting it together for us that's for sure!!

Nope.
Difficult to set up. No instructions were provided. Also got lots of extra pieces for whatever reason (we think). Fell apart after 6 months of light use. Don't get this cat tree.

Looks ok, quality pretty low
Nice tree, kinda leans with weight on the tall section. Directions were impossible even for an ikea expert. Some pieces were not as pictured in the directions. Some peices didn't have holes drilled correctly and had to be drilled in order to get the hammocks to work. Overall not really worth the price.
