SAMSUNG SM-T290NZSAXAR, Galaxy Tab A 8.0" 32 GB Wifi Tablet Silver 2019

I gave this tablet a 5-star rating because it works as advertised. I knew what kind of tablet I wanted and this certainly fits the bill. I wanted a simple tablet for surfing the internet; reading the news; keeping notes and my calendar. It is also good for social media video chatting on Google Duo or Facebook Messenger or Zoom Etc. The 8-inch screen is perfect for me. Much easier than using my cell phone. And easier to carry around than a larger tablet. This is not the tablet to do a lot of advanced or professional graphics. The battery life definitely is good; the touch screen works very well; and if you are Android phone user this will seem like an old friend. The speaker work OK but not really loud. Get a small Bluetooth speaker or earbuds if you want to listen to music. Make sure to get yourself a nice case to protect it and to provide you with a better grip. I suggest the Moko lightweight case which is under $10. The Amazon Fire HD tablet is nice as well but I wanted the full Android flexibity. So overall, this is a great entry level tablet for general use. The price was fantastic. And on the second day, it upgraded to Android 10. I recommend this tablet.

I have owned 2 HD 8's, both of which you could say we're good......for a cheap tablet. Yet they both had trouble mounting the SD card at time, were very slow. Eventually I got fed up and bought a Samsung.I love it. I use it mostly for bedtime reading / browsing, Audible books, and it works great. Perhaps not as fast as my iPad but a marked improvement over rthe HD8. Good screen, and incredibly easy set up as it syncs with my Galaxy S9 profile and auto loads the compatible apps.I threw in an SD card which works flawlessly and I am good to go. Oh yes, the battery life is much better than the HD8 too.Yes it costs twice as much since the HD8 which goes on sale constantly, but it works.

I see dozens of complaints of these being unbearably slow.I must have got a good one. This tablet is quick!..Got it and set it up. Disallowed or turned off all the trackback, customer improvement, error or other reporting and then went thru and deleted, disabled or Uninstalled each and every piece of bloatware and One drive or cloud based app or control on the tab. The biggest problem I've ever found is allowing Google, Gmail, Microsoft complete access. They all will automatically record your keystrokes, voice, location, web searches and browsing info non stop which ABSOLUTELY will slow you down to a crawl as it sends your complete life history to the cloud. Especially pictures and Facebook/Twitter/IG etc.Once done removing these intrusive programs and apps you will have a noticeably fast tablet. You don't need a YouTube APP when you can login via your browser,same for Facebook and Netflix.. login via browser and ditch the apps and installed junk.I bought these for Drones, and of course the moment I deleted and blocked here comes a system update.Its now a speedy LED back-lit 32 GB Qualcomm quad-core 2.058 ghz speed processor with 5150mah Li-ion monster battery in it..1920x1280 full HD record 8 in screen with Gorilla Glass 3. And more storage with a 512gb micro SD card.Samsung has the best displays in middle of the road consumer devices hands down. And for 115 bucks you get one brand new! People are selling these on Craigslist and marketplace for 150?The 8.0 Tab A is a marked nd noticeable improvement over the previous generation dual core 1.7 7 inch screens...its considerably brighter display and much better graphics and color reproduction are immediately apparent...and side by side the speed difference is night and day.There is no legitimate reason to install an app for a web based provider (Amazon, Netflix, Facebook, etc) the ONLY reason they want to install that app is to be as intrusive as possible.You can go to their web pages and login just as easily, have tons of free space and a speedy tablet.The only gripe I would have is that 2 gb of ram is a bit weak for today's devices, even my phone has 6gb...But 4gb of ram would be optimal. It would also probably almost double the price of this tablet.For the $115 price tag, Android and Samsung support and updates for a few years- yep, this is a GREAT DEAL. Buy a no name one for less and you'll regret it...

Having many Android devices, is taking a little time getting used to Samsung's modification of the standard UI. Summer are better, e.g. the app folders are much more customizable, and some are a little frustrating such as the collapsed Settings choices. Also, it only allows file transfers to the Download folder of the optional SD card and you then have to just other apps to file into appropriate folders. Bottom line is that any issue I have is with the learning curve on the UI and confusion why the standard Android apps like Clock and Calendar are duplicated with only minor tweaks. The hardware seems fine and responsive, but I'm not a game player - I used it for email, social media, reading comic books and watching movies so of which of does fine. It also holds on to my wifi signal on tough parts of my apartment MUCH better than my more expensive Lenovo P10. 1280x800 resolution is fine for an 8 inch tablet like this; not so much in the 10 inch Lenovo. One of the few USEFUL small tablets left that isn't a Kindle( which has a restricted ecosystem); it seems the market has been replaced by large screen smartphones.You have full access to both the Google and Galaxy app stores.

After years of much use, my son's IPad mini battery finally gave out. I had never tried a Samsung product or even Android before - but I didn't want to break the bank so I thought this was worth a try. It's great! Easy for my son to use, and he loves it. He picked up the new operating system quickly, and already was using his favorite apps - which for the most part is youtube kids. Great battery life, and responsive touch screen! Awesome!

Para ser sinceros buscábamos una tablet barata que sirviera para acceder a internet y youtube, la Galaxy tab no resultaba cara y nos ha rendido mucho mejor de lo esperado, empezando por el rendimiento de la batería y la velocidad que tiene para correr aplicaciones. La recomiendo mucho. Y llego antes de lo esperado, mejor que mejor.

LA TABLET ES DE ACUERDO A LA DESCRIPCION, FUNCIONA ADECUADAMENTE PARA LAS CLASES EN LINEA, AL SER PARA UN NIÑO DE PREESCOLAR, SOLO FUE NECESARIO ADQUIRUR UNA FUNDA Y MICA PROTECTORA, PERO EN SI FUNCIONA ADECUADAMENTE.

Me gusto esta nueva tablet, buena actualizacion, solo que de momento se pierde la conexion al wifi aun estando cerca del dispositivo, pero bien. ademas llego con 1 semana de anticipacion, eso si estuvo excelente.

Tal cual se muestra en la imagen , la compré para mi hijo y si me gustó , no se ve tan moderna pero es funcional

Me encantó! Era lo que esperaba y llegó mucho antes y en perfectas condiciones.
