I really like this lens. Have been using it for a while now and wanted to wait before writing a review. Now that I have had some time to experience with it I feel that the AF is not as good as some reviewers on YouTube say it is. At least for video. It hunts a lot! I shoot with Sony a7iii and in video mode it will go in and out focus at times when the focus point has already been set. I don’t feel completely at ease when shooting video for a client because I’m never sure when this lens will go out of focus. I asked a Sony rep about this and he said it may have something to do with the af motors in camera and the af in Lens not responding simultaneously and in conjunction with one another. BUT, when AF is working, the images are spot on and sharp! In photo mode, this lens is fantastic. Great focal length and very sharp images.

Don’t waste your money on this product. Only sharpness is good and all other things are really bad

TL;DR: You'll love it. Stupid Sharp. AF could be better but it also could be my style, environment, camera. Love it. But I hate it. It's crazy sharp, like, crazy sharp. I found around F2.8 it is absolutely stunningly sharp and detailed. It is quite heavy and quite large on my camera but it feels like it's very solid. The Chromatic Aberration is there, however, it's not nearly as bad as the 50 F1.8. The AF is not the greatest. It's basically completely silent, and it's quite quick but it seems to miss often enough that I may return. However, I am frequently shooting at 1.4 in a low light environment so maybe I ask too much of it. If you're looking for something cheap and amazing - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lens to anyone that is comfortable with the price.
