I've had this title for at least 15 years - for at the time it seemed like a good value in terms of the number of sonatas in the box. Each one is supported by both harpsichord and cello continuo. That's one area they could have addressed - to have some more variety in the continuo sound.I say this is a traditional approach - perhaps bland is the right word, in terms of the emotional contribution from the players. good tempi. all the right notes. transverse flute playing is among the best. recorder is perhaps he most bland and least inventive. oboe is good too.this is good four-star material. you can likely find better in single releases such as minasi's go witty the violin sonatas.
