Works for My Golf Simulator But Feels Flimsy
I got this projector mount to hang the projector in my golf simulator setup. It does work and holds my mini projector in place, which is great for displaying my shots. The extending arms were easy to adjust, and I got it set up on the ceiling in about 20 minutes. I like that it tilts and swivels to get the angle just right for my screen. My only issue is that it feels a little flimsy. It wobbles slightly if I bump the ceiling, and I’m not sure how well it’ll hold up over time with a heavier projector. It’s fine for my small one, but I’d be careful with the weight. Good for the price, but don’t expect it to feel super sturdy.

For the price, I can't really complain.
It's solid metal and for 20$ it's got all of the little bits you really need. Plenty of adjustability, but definitely not on the level of the 200+$ near-professional level mount I have in my living room. But it's not like I needed that in this room. For the price it does what you need it to, just need to think about how you're going to run the wire, and then have a fun time trying to find a stud so it'll be stable (I don't really recommend mounting expensive AV equipment into anything but a stud, although it does come with some hefty drywall mounts).Only real complaint is that the little plastic washers in between some of the adjustable areas can be easy to break. I snapped one when over-tightening. Didn't really effect much. I needed it to be about that tight though because the projector would otherwise tilt, and the plastic gives it too much sliding space. It's probably so that it'll be easier to adjust even when tightened, but it's a bit of a weak point. I could try to just find the projector's center of gravity before mounting, but that's not only a chore, but I mounted it like that so that I could have the lens at a precise spot to begin with.

A sturdy, affordable mount!
I liked it for few reasons, it can work in a lot of settings, it’s light but sturdy and very affordable compared to other products. I had to do a workaround and add additional metal clips to make it work but these were few bucks from Home Depot and worked well.

Does the job for very little money
This was a great find. It’s the least expensive mount that I saw, and it does the job! I did some creative maneuvering and got the mount connected to the projector with some trial and error.I mounted the ceiling piece with no issues, but I had to think about the slant of the projector before mounting or I would have mounted the ceiling piece backward. If you are going to swing your projector downward slightly, you need to mount the ceiling piece with “made in China “forward, toward the screen. That wasn’t mentioned in the instructions. It looks fine, but you really can’t see it with the projector right under it. I do believe it is durable as it is made of metal and the screws all tighten up. It pivots in about any direction, so you should be able to get your projector image as desired.I recommend mounting a board from joist to joist, or a piece of plywood attached to one joist, lest the mount might dig into your drywall. I would never mount a projector using drywall anchors.I don’t recommend all of the products I buy on Amazon, but I do recommend this mount.

Sturdy mount!
Purchased this to mount my projector to the ceiling. Had to add another piece of wood, but it was super easy to work with and does the job well. Have not noticed any vibration.

Used with my new Optoma Laser projector....
Used with my new Optoma Laser projector....1st things 1st, I am mechanically inclined so for me this projector mount worked perfectly with no modification, "however" it did require a little planning with the mount install on the projector itself. That said, in order to get my 3 points of contact screws tightened on the projector with the mount, 1 screw just needs to be snug tight but not too tight, enough tightness so you can adjust/move and tighten the other 2 screws really good and so the mounting cage is within the mounting center point of contact with the projector. So you know, Optoma's have only 3 mount holes on the projector itself, some have 4 which won't be a problem for you unless you come up short, I used 3 mount arms on my mount, the object is to center the mount in between the 3 mount holes. If you get stuck and your a man, ask a woman for help, if available....they are better at math and angles - a scientific fact, "utilize any good tool in your toolbox" plus it doesn't hurt to get a fresh different perspective, she just might give you a new plan of approach too.It may sound confusing but it really isn't, while doing it, it would "click" with you..."ah hah I know what he talking about". Here's the thing, a snug tight screw is not going to unloosen, the object it's securing isn't constantly moving or vibrating in any way to make the mounting screws loosen. People get to critical when they have to secure something, and over do it on high dollar value items.I found the parts well made, finished very well and heavy duty to deal with it's job of holding the projector in a fixed position. Happy installing, Marc

Was too small
Didn’t fit my monster projector so I had to return. Probably works fine with most projectors.
