Biona Demeter Organic Sauerkraut Golden Turmeric 350g

The cabbage in this sauerkraut is thinly sliced and of good quality. The texture is smooth with a little crunch. The ingredients are simple, organic and clean. I like the taste - sauerkraut with a sweetness from beetroots (which I don't like on their own - different taste, worth a try). The product is versatile, I use it with salads, on its own as a snack, it really pairs well with sausages too.

Wow ! I try to eat sauerkraut regularly because I find it is so healthy for my digestion. But jars in supermarkets are too large and an opened jar needs to stored in the fridge - and can make everything smell pungent. This brand smells good and a jar lasts me for two meals, so it isn't festering before I can finish it. The taste is very good and easily digested. I am delighted to have discovered Biona.

Because this sauerkraut isn’t fresh it doesn’t contain the benefits as fresh, no longer fermented, but I did know this before purchasing. It is however tasty with a decent texture and is nice mixed in to a supermarket salad bowl or in a salad wrap or bun made at home. I will buy again and the price is good from Amazon.

Absolutely love this - have literally been eating it out of the jar every time I pass the fridge! It’s just tangy enough, really lovely taste, and a very fair price for what’s obviously a very good quality product. Definitely recommend, and I’ll be ordering some more :-)

Lovely tasting! I normally have a wee bit with meals and it goes great on a cracker with cheese.

Not quite as tasty as I hoped - but I shall persevere as I know it’s good to eat fermented food ! 🥘

Useful to have in a jar in case run out of the refrigerated variety . Not that cheap but like the taste as a little treat but then I like sour foods .

So delicious, the taste of turmeric is quite strong but that's not a bad thing. It goes beautifully with fatty fish.
