Nomie Baby Toddler Car Seat Cover, Charcoal

I purchased this cover because my 20 month old daughter is prone to carsickness and it was such a bear taking her whole car-seat apart to clean it. I tried towels and swaddling blankets tucked in beneath her while sitting in our Britax 360 but they just couldn't cover every inch of the car-seat. Plus, they'd bunch up every time she moved, making her uncomfortable.While I am thrilled not to have to take the whole car-seat apart for intense cleaning anymore, I have to agree with the other reviews that complain about the two vertical Velcro slits because they don't quite work for our harness. I feel like the straps almost got shorter in this cover, so I'm always pulling on them to get my daughter out of her seat. However, it is a great cover because it COVERS the entire car-seat, top and sides, and for the most part it stays in place. Its essentially like putting a shower cap over the car-seat.The material is soft and quilted (my daughter's sensitive skin has not reacted with it yet); good quality and supposed to be waterproof, which a lot of the other covers I looked at were not. I chose the light green because my daughter's nursery is the same color green and I figured it could be used for either a boy or a girl since its almost pastel.Unfortunately, I cannot comment on how well it prevents leakage through the Velcro slits as my daughter has not had an accident or thrown up since I bought it. But I'm fairly confident that this cover is a big improvement over just the bare seat.If your child frequently gets carsick, has accidents or likes to spill things for fun, I highly recommend this car-seat cover. But if the slits really bother you, you may need to find a way to modify it for your particular car-seat model.(Consequently, if anyone is looking for car-seat covers that are specifically made for Britax seats, there are some on Amazon by Elizabeth Park Designs, but they are in the $60-$70 range, and I don't know if they're waterproof.)**UPDATE** 8/15/2012My daughter has now throw up on this cover once and wet it twice (once pee, once just water and juice) so I can officially say this was a good purchase. Of course, I still had to clean the car-seat's straps and buckles because they're not protected by the cover, but overall, it did its job. Just took it off, threw it in the wash, let it air-dry overnight and it was ready for use the next day. Only issue is CRUMBS! My daughter has managed to get crumbs and Cheerios all over the cover and much has slipped through the cover's Velcro slit openings to the crevices in the actual car-seat. Not a huge problem, a little annoying, but I thought worth mentioning.

This is a great concept, so that the car seat cover can be removed and cleaned without the hassle of removing the whole car seat. The material appears of high quality durable and waterproof. The size is extra large and fits our Safety 1st Alpha Omega car seat.However there are just two verticle slits which are closed by velcro, which are fine for the shoulder harness, however, the lapbelt fits awkward as the openings in the cover are too close to the midline, and thus my child will be sitting on them. His butt and his legs are not that small. The holes/openings for the lapbelt should be positioned to the sides. I order a couple of other brands and they have a similar problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? I will have to decide whether to have some new holes sewn in, or return this item.

This was the only carseat cover I could find that was waterproof-which I like for my potty training toddler. I would love it except that the slits go straight down instead of angling out-that means the velcro has to be stretched open for the bottom harnesses to come through. So right in the seat there are gaps for urine/other things to leak through. PLus my son doesn't like the scratchy velcro. I loved it at first but when I realized the design flaw I was super bummed. It could be solved so easily! I guess it was an impulse buy after taking apart my entire carseat to wash it.

I purchased this car seat cover hoping it would keep my son cooler. We live in a humid climate & he sweats a lot in his car seat. I would take him out & the back of him would be soaked. The car seat cover helped a little, but he still sweats a lot. I probably should have listened to my mother & just put a small cotton towel between him & the car seat...it would have worked better & I would have saved some $$$.

The cover fits pretty well on my britax marathon. Did not fit my sunshine kids radian, or my diono radian.What I didn't like about it was my kid was drenched in sweat every time we went somewhere. It really doesn't breathe much at all. He never gets that sweaty in just the seat alone.Huge disappointment because it fits well, and It's nice to take it on and off with out re-installing the seat.

However, I don't, but it is a very simple product - just a cover for the existing car seat. That is what we were looking for, so it fits the bill, but all it all it is not very impressive.

I like the color but it just didn't fit my seat very well (Clek Foonf) so I returned it.

My baby sweated so badly in this that I removed it. Now that it's winter I may put it on the seat and try again. It's nice otherwise...I guess that's what you get when it's waterproof.
