Dominican Hair Product Lafier Desrizol Shampoo Honey and Almonds 16oz

This is the product I grew up with and I was thrilled to find it online. Any person with relaxed hair should try this shampoo because it is formulated for relaxed hair and if used in combination with the Dezrizol rinse you will never stop using it. It is extremelly thick for which beauty salons buy this shampoo in large quantities, water it down and still comes out slowly out of the bottle. Lafier is the oldest brand in hair products in the Dominican Republic and there is NOT one person in the island, and many parts in the Caribbean who doesn't know about this brand. They have the best hair treatments, and everything I can say about the products falls short. You have to try them.

It smelled cheap

I have natural coarse hair and I got this to help manage my natural texture better since transitioning from a relaxer. I heard that Dominican products are good for kinky/curly textures...and kinky curly it is! Not kinky/coarse!lol. I'm African American and I'm still trying to find something that keeps my hair strong and breakage free yet also soft and manageable(these 4 things are VERY important because combing out natural coarse hair can be a beast!) I tried this shampoo with the conditioner that goes with it and they both have a strong chemical scent. The shampoo lathers big time(not so good for my hair type) and the scent lingers but I could get over that if the product works for me. The conditioner was ok but better if used with a less harsh sulfate free shampoo or alone. The reason I give this 4 stars is because while it didn't do much for me, my sister who has relaxed hair used it and WOW! Her hair was soft and full of body like never before! Fly away hair, like Seriously?! It looked like she had got a Dominican blowout, though she didn't. She doesn't even know what that is! I was a bit jealous. Ha. I guess it's an ok product it just doesn't work for everybody. I'll continue to look for something that will love my beautiful kinky/coarse hair back.

Very harsh shampoo not good at all .makes your hair hard.

This shampoo really lathers up nice you don't need that much and it left my hair clean. It smells like the beauty salon shampoo.
