Almost as cool as the concrete slab but substantially more comfortable for our German Shepherds
23-Nov-30 UPDATE: Really, the final update this time. We're one year in with these beds and are still without issue. Our dogs use them every day and night. They're sagging a little more now than before but our dogs still love their beds. We wash the platforms only when we need to and instead, vacuum them daily to keep them clean. We've found that we only have to wash them after the dogs have spent hours on the beds, working on antlers or chunks of yak cheese. I think line drying has also contributed to the long service life. I'm happy to report that all four bedframes are still intact too so when the mesh finally fails, we will be able to make replacement beds with some time on the sewing machine. We (humans and dogs) are still super pleased with these beds!23-May-23 UPDATE: This will be the final update for this product. All four beds are still 100% functional. We've had some frayed edges develop after numerous washings but nothing that prevents the use of these beds. Our dogs have grown slightly in size and still like to wrestle or run across their beds so these beds have certainly seen some use that results in wear. Six months and four beds later, we are very happy with these and will purchase more when these eventually fail. And failure isn't a mark of poor quality! Filled beds need to be refreshed, renewed, and replaced too, just like a platform bed. These are consumable items and these beds were well-worth the cost given how much comfort they have provided and use they have endured.23-Feb-27 UPDATE: All four beds are still in service with our dogs and going strong. No tears, no frayed edges despite numerous washings, no broken pieces. Our dogs still love their beds and use them daily/nightly. We have figured out a better way to reassemble the beds after washing though. We assemble the frame completely but leave the velcro undone. Brace the two corners of the frame with feet then stretch and pull the bed as tight as possible before folding over the frame. This results in a much tighter fit and less sag.22-Nov-29 UPDATE: The first two beds we purchased were moved to a different part of the house while we waited for the second set. The second set was built and replaced the originals in the basement. I literally had my dogs sitting, waiting for me to complete assembling their beds. As soon as one was built, the male took it which was surprising given he is not the dominant one of the pair. The female continued to wait while I assembled the second bed, followed me as I was placing it and hopped on it literally as I was setting it down. I'd say it's safe to say that my two dogs love their beds. In the picture, the male is on the left.ORIGINAL REVIEW:We have a pair of German Shepherds. At the time of this writing, they have had these beds for about a week and are 11 months old. The larger of the two is a 110 pound male and relatively long while the smaller is an 80 pound female. This review is primarily about the male's experience with the bed as the female is not nearly as selective about where she sleeps.Despite daily grooming and the basement being kept at 68 degrees, he prefers to lay directly on the concrete slab rather than any bed or softer surface we have tried to offer him. Our best guess is the slab is the only surface that is able to wick away his body heat and keep him comfortable. That is, until we bought him the largest model of this bed and paired it with a fan. He immediately laid down on his bed and stretched out along the diagonal. His paws dangle off the edge ever so slightly but he doesn't seem to mind. He frequently brings an elk antler or chunk of yak cheese to his bed to gnaw on it while laying down. During one of the first sessions on the bed, he discovered the raised manufacturer's mark and gave it a few probing attempts but it didn't yield and he hasn't tried to remove it again. I did see the female give the mark a couple swipes with her paw but no other attempts than that. The bed is very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and portability. Both of our dogs enjoy their chews in their respective beds so the ability to clean it is important. As far as durability goes, our two have rough-housed on their beds without breaking anything. Their combined weight is close to 200 pounds however these beds are rated for 300 pounds and showed no signs of buckling under them. We have been pleased enough with these beds to order a second pair of them for another spot in the house.

It's the BEST dog bed! Has AIRFLOW. Machine/Hose WASHABLE. LIGHTWEIGHT. PORTABLE!
I bought this dog bed over 6 months ago and it is holding up as well as it did when I first assembled it. My 55 lb dog spends a lot of time on the bed and the woven platform fabric doesn't cave downwards like I thought that it would end up doing. When she darts down the hall, she runs into the room and jumps into her bed like a baseball player trying to get to the home baseplate. It's funny because she doesn't want the cats to get her, but it's also a game that she and the cats play. The surface of the bed is still perfectly strong. Sometimes I place blankets or sheets on top for her, but they end up smelly and are harder to clean than this bed is. We have limited space where we are keeping her bed right now, and because of that I truly appreciate that it is so LIGHTWEIGHT! When I need to get into the closet, I stand the bed up against the wall, get what I need, then lay the bed back down.EASY TO ASSEMBLE: Place the strong hollow poles onto corner brackets, and slide the woven platform fabric on the poles before all pieces meet up with the corners. The last one is a little snug, but that's good. It needs to be snug so it can be sturdy. Disassembling is just as easy. Just pull it apart starting at the corners. The poles are made out of some kind of metal. The corner brackets are a tough, thick special plastic. The feet are thick and don't have any signs of wear on them.WASHING it is a breeze! Brush off any debris and dog hair, then place it in the washing machine. Likewise, if an emergency occurs and the dog soiled it or something similar happened, take the whole bed outside and hose it off with dish soap. I had to do this once, and while it was out there, assembled and drying, a storm arrived. I forgot about it! It held up well being outside. It's a truly fantastic bed that's indestructible, well almost. My boyfriend fell back on it when rocking back in his chair, and he bent the frame. He's a strong man, so he was able to bend it back again and you can't even tell that it happened. The dog still runs down the hall, leaps and lands in bed like it's the only way to get in there, and it still looks as good as new!!VERSATILE: It can be used as it is or with another bed or blanket on top.The past six+ months of having the airflow under her must have felt fantastic. Now that the colder months are here, I am truly thankful that we were able to order her an Orthopedic Dog Bed from this same manufacturer. It is just about the same size and will fit right on top of the elevated bed. It will give a bit more warmth for her when we have the heat on a lower setting than we do in the summer. I will post photos after it arrives and will tell how well the two work together.

amazing for the $$$
been looking, and have bought some brands that didn't last. 180 pound St Bernard will do that. well made product, has held up, assembly reasonably easy, dogs love it.

Works - a bit tight so won't sit flat
This cot is as pictured, light weight, large enough for my 38# dog and stable when placed on the floor. The surface is sown well but is extremely tight when assembled making original assembly a bit tough, and it twists pulling legs up when placed on the floor if a heavy, solid weight isn't sitting on it. Multiple attempts to stretch out the covering work short-term but pull tight again before the next use. Good for the $ but I need to ensure it's stretched, flat and stable before each use.

No regrets!
I bought two of these in 2023 after the weight of my dog ripped through multiple beds from other brands. My 115# Malamute jumps onto, and lounges on, these beds every single day and after a year, they still look fantastic! I have washed them multiple times and they come out off the laundry looking like new. The quality is top notch. They assemble and disassemble easily. I will not buy any other brand.

Excellent
I'm purchasing another one. I bought this for our English Mastiff in 2020 Spring. The top just ripped along the edge. I could just order the cover top but for $15 more I'll just buy a new complete set. I think it was durable and lasted longer than most things you buy in today's age. So 4 years. I'm good. This cot has been on our deck everyday since we bought it through all seasons in midwest.

Can take a beating!
Our "puppy" loves this cot. While he is still a puppy he weighs about 100lbs and loves to run to the cot and leap straight onto it. After a few months of this there is pretty much no visible damage to the cot. The seams are holding strong and the legs and support braces are as good as new. Our puppy didn't chew on any of it so I'm not sure how well it would handle chewing but given the materials used they should be fine with a bit of gnawing. The black mesh in the center allows for airflow and keeps pets from getting hot as they would on a traditional dog bed. This is especially useful for dogs with a heavy coat.Washing is very simple. The cot comes apart easily enough and there is minimal shrinkage even after multiple wash and dry cycles in the laundry. It might be better to air dry but that would take time. Our puppy gets sad if the cot is missing for too long, so we just dry it quickly and reassemble it for him to lounge on and chew his toys.

Great bed
Bought this so my dog wouldn't have to lay down on the ground when we are outside. It took awhile for her to actually use it but now she loves laying on it. It is very sturdy and easy to set up

Comfortable and easy to transport
Our dog loves it!It was easy to assemble and feels sturdy once set up. Easy to take down and carry it to another room or if we go on a vacation. Takes very little room in the car.The textile surface feels strong yet comfortable. Seams are sturdy and will probably last forever.Very happy with it so far!
