Mini Cupcakes Hardcover – March 1, 2011

We have been fans of Mini's since she opened her doors in Salt Lake City. Her store was the perfect blend of retro furniture, collector toys and all things pink. We were so proud of her when she won Cupcake wars. We were not surprised however as her cupcakes are the loveliest combination of flavors, the perfect size & never too sweet. Real tears were shed when we dropped by to pick up my daughters traditional Breakfast at Tiffanies birthday treat and she had closed her doors. I had seen the book at her counter & never picked one up. I was so happy to find this book online so I could gift it to my now 16 year old daughter for her birthday. (We celebrated her 6th birthday at Mini's) Thanks for sharing your recipes Leslie! You made a lovely & sweet addition to our city. You are missed. Don't sleep on it if your considering...Buy this book!

I can't say that I've ever been so unimpressed with a cupcake recipe book. I suppose if you are a novice (and I mean novice) baker this might be OK. However, I bake a lot of cupcakes and was hoping to find new and exciting recipes.Unfortunately, this book repeats recipes over and over changing only the color of the frosting, maybe some decorations and sometimes swaps out frosting flavors. I was seriously, VERY disappointed in this book. Some of the recipes towards the middle and back of the book are ok but this book is nothing to write home about and I really am very sorry I wasted my money. Maybe if they had put the recipes in the middle and back of the book in the front and then the more repetitious recipes in the back… I might not have noticed it so much but as it was organized, I just got bored quickly and barely wanted to continue looking since I didn't want to read the same recipes over and over and over.The recipes seem solid enough… which is why I didn't give it a 1 star and it's fine for a novice baker but there are many, many books that provide way more recipes for your money than this book!

Book was in good condition ,but I was hoping for more

I used a few of these recipes for my mini wedding cupcakes and they were a very big hit! Now people want me to make them for their wedding...ha ha that is the only down fall but in a good way.

The recipes were easy to follow and tasted good. It was also fun to decorate the mini-cupcakes. The only trouble I had was finding 2oz souffle cups. Wilton makes a 2 INCH cup, but that was WAY to big. I finally had to order the 2 ounce souffle cups from an online baking supply company. I got 500 of them for $13 (shipping included)and that should last me quite a while.My only complaint is that when I bake the cupcakes the tend to come out a little dry. I live at high altitude, so that might be part of the problem.

Immediately went out and bought a case of small cups to start baking. Fun idea, but it doesn't talk about how hard it is to get the cake out the wrapper cups. More of a novelty or for children.

The book is filled with amazing photos, its a beautiful book. Recipes are simple and very easy to read and understand. No strange ingredients listed - which was nice. Only complaint, the same recipes were repeated throughout the book, would have liked to see different types of cake recipes. But it was interesting to see just how many ways the same recipe can be used in various flavors of cupcakes.

I was interested in a cookbook that would be a great first attempt for recipes.It is perfect. Thank you.

Habe beim Bestellen leider nicht drauf geachtet, dass das Buch auf englisch ist - und somit auch sämtliche Maße nicht nach metrischen System vorgegeben sind. Es gibt aber eine Umrechnungstabelle. Sonst okay.
