I'm picky as can be when it comes to shampoo. I have thick, curly, wavey hair so I have to find something that doesn't destroy my hair or make it look like a puffy western tumbleweed. This cheap shampoo actually surprised me and worked well with my hair. I thought it was going to be primarily alcohol based like almost every other budget shampoo I've used and it was creamy like lotion. I didnt have an alcohol smell at all. It does have a different smell that is REALLY STRONG.It smells like the strongest perfume imaginable... Now take that smell I just described and mix it with baby powder.Thats the smell of this shampoo!It was so overpowering that I considered opening the door while I washed my hair to let some of the smell out. I tried and tried to wash the smell out with more water, and even after my shower when I walked around I could smell the smell in my hair, and it was still almost just as strong. Thankfully by the next morning, the smell had worn off, and I no longer smelled like that person we all know that wears far too much perfume.Other than my complaint about the smell, it really is a good nourishing shampoo. My hair felt smooth after using it, but also didn't feel greasy. I did have to use twice as much as I normally do because it really thick. I would definitely purchase it again if I was looking for an affordable, mid price shampoo.I have also included a picture, so you can see the effect it had on curly, wavy, thick hair.

It’s pretty good, I’ve been stuck with my hair getting tangled and then having to comb through it and rip hair out in the process which sucks and hurts. So I’ve bought this and have been using it for about a month, even after the first few times my hair went from tangled everywhere to only 1 or 2 left. It’s a great product.

This did surprisingly well for my hair. I have long, bleached blonde hair so I have to be careful in what I use and I liked this.

Really love the scent! It's not overbearing at all and it leaves my hair soft and feeling moisturized. However, the 4 star review is.....It makes my head itch. : ( So disappointed because I loved the scent. But will not be purchasing again.

I recently retired and have been cutting back on spending which included hair products. I think for the low cost this is one of the better shampoos. L’Oréal products are usually good so glad I decided to try it.

To give a little background, I am of German Jewish and Lumbee decent. I have wavy black hair that is extremely thick and super course. I have tried literally dozens of shampoos to find one that would not only cleanse my hair appropriately, but also, leave it soft without that weighed down feeling, and shiny without looking oily (very low porosity). I tried this shampoo on a whim because of the reviews and the fact that it was only $4! Didn’t really have anything to lose right!? And holy crap! This shampoo is absolutely amazing!! I was blown away from the first use, and I haven’t even tried it with the conditioner yet (I used Biolage HydraSource)! My hair was clean, soft, shiny, smelled amazing... all even after air drying. I had no weighed down look or that dull, greasy look I get from other shampoos that just sit on top of my hair, nor did it only “look clean” for a few hours. My hair looked great for 2 full days. This never happens for me so I was stunned. I can’t rate this high enough. This shampoo has definitely been a game changer for me. I can’t wait to try it with the matching conditioner!
