My Go-To Pomade for the Last 7 Years
I’ve been using this pomade for about seven years, and I’ve never seriously considered switching to another brand. It has consistently delivered the same great results every time. It provides a strong hold with a natural matte finish that keeps my hair in place without looking greasy or overly styled. One of my favorite things about it is how easily it washes out at the end of the day. Unlike some pomades that leave buildup behind, this one rinses out with very little effort. The scent is another big plus. It’s clean and subtle without being overpowering. I’ve tried other pomades that smelled like an overpowering cologne, but this one has a much more pleasant fragrance. After using it for years, I can confidently say it’s one of the best pomades I’ve found. If you’re looking for a strong hold, matte finish, easy washout, and a clean scent, I highly recommend giving this one a try. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best gel pomade ever!!! Used for 10 years +
I’ve been using Imperial Barber Gel Pomade for over 10 years, and nothing else compares. It works wonders on thinner hair, making it feel noticeably fuller while delivering the strongest hold I’ve ever experienced. To top it off, it has a fantastic, clean scent that isn't overpowering at all. Highly recommend! They also have other products with shine if that’s what you’re into

Best Hair Product for Men
THE BEST hair product for men I've ever tried! I've tried so many products it's ridiculous, and this one from Imperial is by far the best I've used for a bunch of reasons. I've finely discovered how important it is to match the hair product to your hair type, not what you "want." So after doing a ton of research on hair types, what products work best for those hair types, and assessing my own hair, I settled on Imperial Classic Pomade and I couldn't be happier! I have very thick, fast growing, wavy hair that has a mind of it's own when it's medium or longer length. So if I want my hair to do what I want, it can't be longer then an inch or two. Not anymore! I want my hair to lay down straight and have a nice clean cut look with a little bit of length, and before this product, that was not possible. Now it is! I just put a little bit of leave in conditioner in my hair to keep it moisturized (which helps it stay down), then rub about a quarter sized dollop of the Imperial Pomade in my hands, and work the product in. I'm able to get that medium length, clean cut look, short on the side look, AND have my hair stay more or less straight, which was IMPOSSIBLE before using this product. I also LOVE how it looks in my hair. When it first goes in, it looks shiny and very slick, but within a short time, the shine fades to a more natural look, and is in between matte and low shine. If you put a ton in, you can keep it looking somewhat shiny, or if you put in less, it looks more matte. It also looks very very natural and like nothing is in your hair, which most products don't. It also smells great (light smell of watermelon), weighs next to nothing in your hair, washes out instantly with water, and can easily be restyled throughout the day by adding a tiny bit of water to your hair and reworking the style. It's without a doubt the greatest hair product for men out there I've ever tried! AND you get a huge 6oz container for only 19.95!!! That's outrageously inexpensive for such a great product compared to all the other rip off priced mens products out there that only have 1.5-3oz's for $25-$40. Can't say enough great things about this amazing product! You'd be hard pressed to find anything better then this, and the value is so good!

My hair is quite thick and coarse so I need something that has a nice, strong hold to it
I just recently bought this product because I’m always wanting to try new pomades. My hair is quite thick and coarse so I need something that has a nice, strong hold to it. With this product, I wasn’t disappointed. You’ll get that strong hold that it says that it has and it really will hold throughout the day! If you’re someone who has thicker hair this would be the product for you. I’ve used a couple pomades as well such as American Crew Fiber and Suavecito. Each one had its own positives and negatives to it though. American Crew Fiber does have that strong hold to it as well if you’re looking for it. It holds nice and applies easily. You just have to make sure that you really rub it through your hands so you don’t have some little streaks of it left over in your hair. It tends to lose its hold throughout the day though, but that may just be the case for me because of my hair. If you’re also looking something with a good scent and low shine, this would be the product for you. Suavecito is also another great product for thicker hair. It has a stronger hold than American Crew Fiber does and allows your hair to hold throughout the day. If you happen to ruin it somehow or it comes a little loose, just simply wet your hands or comb and run it through your hair to style it again. Unlike Fiber, this has a little bit of a shine to it, but it doesn’t make your hair look greasy. It’s a pretty light to medium shine. It also has a nice scent to it which is noticeable, but not too overbearing. Overall, this product is good, but not great. It does have a strong hold that it says it does and low shine, but can lose its volume if your head tends to heat up easily. If you sweat at all during the day, it also tends to fall flat and loses its hold. It’s a good product, but if you have thick, coarse, southern/southeast Asian hair, Suavecito would be your go to pomade.

Hold My Beer, This Matte Paste Actually Lives Up to the Hype!
Let's be real, finding a matte hair product that does what it says can feel like searching for Bigfoot. They promise no shine, then leave your head looking like a disco ball at noon. But Imperial's Matte Pomade Paste? This, my friends, is the real deal. First off, the scent. It's like a clean, woodsy barbershop vibe that's not overpowering. Kinda like walking into a fancy salon that hasn't forgotten its rugged roots. Then there's the finish. Matte? More like matte-rrific. No greasy residue, no suspicious glisten in the sunlight – just pure, textured hold that keeps your style locked down all day. Seriously, I ran errands, hit the gym, even braved a surprise downpour, and my hair still looked on point. Speaking of hold, this paste is like the Goldilocks of grip – not too tight, not too loose, just right. It tames my cowlicks without gluing my strands together, and I can rework it throughout the day without it going floppy. Plus, it adds some serious volume, which is a major win for my fine hair. So, if you're tired of matte pretenders and want a paste that actually delivers, look no further. Imperial's Matte Pomade Paste is the holy grail you've been searching for. Trust me, your hair (and your ego) will thank you.

Wonderful product for oily hair!!
Love this product! I’ve been using seven potions pomade for years which is “water soluble” and this turns out to be very different from this “water based” product. I had to switch products because the new seven potions formula smells terrible, and I’m super happy I was forced to switch. My hair would often be so oily even a day after use that I had to shampoo again during the next shower. I just assumed this was because of my hair being naturally oily. Turns out this wasn’t the case. I add a pea size amount of this product to my hair after vigorously drying it with a towel right after a shower with my hair still a bit damp, I then comb my hair into shape. After drying I put my hands through my hair and give it a nice tousled look. The feel is not quite as silky as the “water soluble” products but it’s not crispy feeing and the difference is minimal. The smell is pretty nice, it does smell slightly like hairspray for a very short period of time, but more than anything it’s kind of a sweet almost bubblegum smell and it dissipates within an hour or two. I really like that I can “reactivate” it with a bit of water throughout the day. This was never an option with the previous product I used. You get a massive amount of the product as well compared to most pomades. This little bottle might last me 2-3 years easily. Highly recommend this stuff to anyone with oily / hair. This has made my life so much easier after an endless number of pomades that stopped working after a few hours and left my hair an oily mess.

Good pomade, with some drawbacks
I have fair skin and dark blond hair, almost brown and I typically go for the clean cut classic look (like that hard drinking guy that works in advertising). This pomade holds well and has a decent amount of shine. The smell is surprisingly a candy/sweet sort of smell. The pomade however is really sticky and pulls on my hair kind of hard when I throw it in. I have tried applying it lightly however it still pulls a bit. I was trying this as an alternative to the American Crew pomade found in most stores. The typical Crew brand comparatively has a lighter, creamier texture ─ and for my hair type a little bit more of a shine. The Crew applies easier and more evenly however this Imperial stuff has a little bit of a stronger hold. At the end of the day, Crew will stay shiny however this product can make my hair feel a bit dry (I admit that this is most likely with regards to my hair type). All in all it is a decent product and I am certainly willing to try some of the other stuff Imperial has to offer.

Keine Gelpomade!
