Grain-Free Wet Cat Food, Chicken Paté, 5.5 Ounce

Our cats like it and eat it, even the picky eater. It has good-quality ingredients. I hope they don’t raise the price as more people discover it.

I have two Princess indoor cats and several outdoors which I feed. Since most dry catfoods are based on corn, and cats are carnivores, not even omnivores like dogs, I try to give them animal based food as much as possible. So, they get Meow Mix (corn based, but they like the flavorings), and the wild wilderness brand chicken variety (which is animal based), with nutritional yeast sprinkled in (they love the nutritional yeast and will lick it off of the dry cat food), and,they get canned tuna as their wet food and they all like it. Well one day, this Whole Paw brand chanced upon my screen and I chose to buy it since the ingredients seemed pretty clean, and I know all of my cats do prefer the smaller pieces of tuna over the larger chunks, so I figured they would also like the pate. Well, so far, so good, they all ate the pate when it was served to them!!! I feel better knowing that the Whole Paws has vitamins in it that they need. After the novelty of the Whole Paws wears off, I will do a side by side taste test with my indoor Princesses, to see which they actually prefer, the Whole Paws or the canned tuna. I'm really happy to find the Whole Paws, at least as a supplement, so that my cats get four types of food altogether, so they have variety, and also the vitamins in the Whole Paws. Also the affordability is important, too. The Whole Paws seems like a win-win, and I recommend it!!

I love this cat food for four reasons: 1) My cats love it; 2) it carries the Whole Foods label, which I've come to trust; 3) it's very, very moist texture, which is good considering that cats don't tend to drink enough water and wind up with kidney issues, and; 4) it's reasonably priced. I especially like the softness of the texture because I have a cat with stomatitis and this is easier for him to eat than some other brands ... so pet friendly for my little guy. However, the packaging for this and the previous shipment of this particular flavor is obscenely wasteful. Each can was wrapped in an absurd amount of plastic bubble wrap. Just WHY??? The other flavors just come in a box with a bit of brown paper to keep them from knocking about, but the chicken paté comes in a large individual bubble wrap envelope. Not only is it wasteful, but it's a pain in the neck to have to sit there and cut open each package before I can stack them in the kitchen. Make that make sense! I won't be buying this flavor again, but will buy other varieties.

Bought this first time for my picky kitties. They ate it right up and seemed yo like it just fine.

I'm sorry to say my cat just doesn't like the food. It has good ingredients so don't feel right giving it a one or two star, it got a 4.2 rating, and it seems a lot of cats do like it. I'm also reluctant to send it back because I know returning items is one way that prices go up for the consumer and for the seller, plus I know if I send the cans back, they'll just go in the garbage because of safety reasons. I'm just writing this review to say, if you buy this food buy one or two cans, see if your cat likes it, if they do buy more, the price is good for the ingredients that are in it, don't go by my or others negative comments to make your decision, your cat may love it like I see others have.

Smells like puke, cats sniffed it and scratched the floor then walked away with a swishing tail. Tried feeding for a week and they still didn’t eat a bite.

I took in a feral that I had been feeding for over a year when she got attacked and nearly died from an infection. I wanted to give her some quality food while she healed and a friend recommended this brand. Previously she had just eaten the dry meow mix since I fed them outside. Well forget the dry food now, she wont touch it after getting to eat this food. She absolutely goes bonkers for this food! She gets 2 cans a day one in the morning and one in the evening and I have to literally hold her off to be able to get the food in her bowl. I am very very happy with this food and it is a great price for the quality of food. the only negative thing is the cans all individually being wrapped in bubble wrap.

This food is very soft compared you some other pate style foods, but my cats love it.
