I've tried numerous Yupik products. All are fairly high quality, and the Oat Groats is no exception. They've become one of my favorite grains. I like the chewiness better than the creaminess of oatmeal or oat bran. Great in place of rice. About 1 cup groats. Rinse well in water. Add about 4-5 cups fresh water. 1 tsp of salt. Simmer covered 40 mins. Taste to see if it's the consistency you like. Take off the heat immediately and drain.

I am very pleased with my purchase. The quality was great. It was easy to prepare. The color was fresh looking. It is a very nutritious breakfast food.

Our beagle has lots of allergies/intolerances to food. We have been buying her kibble for a couple years before I looked at the ingredients. When I saw the about of junk that is being put into dog food, I decided to begin making my own. To be sure her nutritional needs are met, I began adding eggshell powder, cod liver oil, and these organic oat groats. They came packaged in a zip bag making it convenient to use and store! I love that they are organic too. I did not notice any dirt or mold like some people did. They were pretty clean. She doesn't even notice them in her food so they must taste good. It gives her soft food some bulk. It takes about an hour to cook the groats and it mixes right in. I've noticed her energy level is much improved. I'm glad I found it and it's not expensive. I only use about a cup in 2 pounds of organic beef. I will continue to buy this along with cod liver oil and eggshell powder to keep our girl healthy.

Another great Yupik product - perfect for soup, grinding into flower when you want fresh oat flower) and, well we add it to oatmeal at breakfast - note here that you need to cook the groats first and add oatmeal later as it takes a while to cool groats.

Nothing wrong with this product great for savory dish or breakfast. I like the fact that you can cook longer or less to get the desired mouth feel that you want. Especially like this as a side dish with mushroom and or grilled veggies mixed in. A meal in itself. I can make up a plain batch and have warmed for breakfast by adding cream, fruit, nuts. Good chewy texture. Keeps me satisfied.

Wonder taste, rolled nicely. They were very fresh. I will be purchasing more.

My birds love these! Gave some to a friend with doves, apparently they like them too.

They tasted very good. It's not easy to find organic oat groats & these are a good buy.
