Works well
This is better than what the vet sold me for dry, flaky, allergy skin. I leave it in a full 10 minutes, per the directions, and usually massage it into the areas of concern. My dogs were better after the first wash, and much better after the second. We continue to use it weekly. We use a people conditioner after shampooing, which also helps cover the smell. My picky daughter likes the smell. I’m not a fan (it’s not horrible) but it works too well to even consider finding something else.

My Labrador Doesn't Have Creeping Crud Anymore
My Black Lab looked so gross and sad! He had giant flakes of dandruff all over his back. His coat was dull. And I thought it looked like it was possibly thinning. He looked ungroomed and uncared for even though I was bathing him with "moisturizing, soothing, organic, all natural" shampoos. I brushed. I worried. I took him to the vet. They said he had dry skin. duh. Or he needed a better diet. So we put him on fish oil supplement. Or he had an allergy. So I started cooking for him. But really, I knew deep down, he just had really, really dry skin. Every winter, he developed a little dandruff and it would clear up once the heater wasn't running 24/7. But this winter, it was REALLY BAD! His dandruff looked like CREEPING CRUD. It was so gross looking. No scabs or ooze or redness, just really giant flakes, just coming up from his coat in chunks. Subzero winter temps for an extended time caused extremely dry air in our home. We all needed extra moisturizers, it's just really hard to put lotion on a dog. But first I had to get rid of the dandruff and none of the other shampoos were working. I googled dog dandruff images and treatments. I stumbled on tar & sulfur shampoos. I read all the reviews and realized he would need the conditioner, too. I'm so thankful for all the user reviews which helped me find the right product.Week 1:I noticed a difference after the first shampoo & conditioner treatment. The flakes were gone. I ran my hand opposite the growth of his coat--I see a few big flakes coming up at the base of the hairs. But definite improvements. Coat was exceptionally soft and silky. I kept him in my shower stall for the 10 minute wait during each phase of the treatment. About the second day, I noticed some of the flaking was returning, but far, far, far LESS. I made a mental note of the areas with flakes. Day 3, second treatment. I focus on the areas where the flaking seemed isolated and then do an all-over. 10 minute wait. Rinse. Condition with Nature's Specialties Re-Moisturizer. 10 minute wait. Rinse. Towel Dry. Yes. He's looking great. He's enjoying the baths. Gets right into the shower. It must make him feel better. It's only the first week, but I'm optimistic enough based on what I've seen to write this review. I am so relieved! He doesn't look homeless anymore! People aren't going to be grossed out when they see him. He doesn't have Creeping Crud. His coat is so soft, you want to pet him constantly. Which he is totally okay with. The Shampoo does smell of petroleum product, but it's not unbearable. I'm lathering up a 90 lb Lab so I'm using a fair amount of product. After the fist few minutes, I don't really notice it much. The smell seems to rinse away. The follow-up conditioner has a nice, but not over powering scent. This is the first product I am thinking of keeping on subscription.

Finally! A shampoo that works!
My Lhasa apsos scratches continuously. I've tried at least a dozen shampoos that PROMISED to end his misery, all failed. This product actually works! The smell isn't awful, but could be better. It does a good job cleaning and actually all but eliminated his scratching. My poor baby got to where he could barely function due to the constant scratching. Thank you for making this!! You can be assured we will be a return customer!

This really works!!!
My dog developed a skin condition which looked like an incredibly extreme case of dandruff. She was constantly scratching and licking. The difference since I began using this product monthly is unbelievable. I highly recommend it.

Miracle shampoo
This stuff works. I have a 3 year old lab/hound mix with what our vet originally diagnosed with seasonal skin allergies but after 2 years of the same problems we decided to try this. In the summer/humid months he gets flaky and oily skin and becomes itchy and very stinky. All of his skin gets scaly and flaky and the spots he scratches turn into scabs that peel off and are raw under. He loses patches of hair all over his body. Our regular brushing seemed to make the raw patches worse and we tried oatmeal and tea tree oil shampoos to no avail. I am assuming now he has oily dandruff or some other similar skin condition. I bathe him 2x weekly with this stuff, no conditioner after, and he is back to being fresh and his coat has it’s shine back. He hates baths so the 10 minutes to let it soak is difficult for him but even his mood is better after his bath. He’s not nearly as itchy. We have been using this for maybe 2-3 weeks and are seeing a steady improvement, his hair is growing back. He still has some dandruff but it’s much easier to brush off and not nearly as oily. The redness associated with the real bad areas cleared up almost immediately. I’m hoping that this can become a 1x monthly routine once we’ve got his skin back to a healthy spot. The smell is totally worth it. It’s not terrible and I honestly prefer it to how our dog smelled before this. It goes away the same day. I would imagine if the issue is simply dry skin this would really dry your pup out unless you use a conditioner. But like I said our guys problem was a seemingly oil based issue so he has no problem with no conditioner after.
