Where i doordash, mcdonalds seals the same bag with both cold food along with the hot food-in the same bag. can i put that in this insulated bag?

Does the bottom have the grid pattern(#) stitching for sturdiness?

No, not that you can see. I primarily use this to tote 8 dozen cupcakes. It doesn't sink in the middle on the bottom. We also stuffed it full of heavy frozen items and steaks/porkchops from BJs to keep it cold on the ride home. It held up beautifully. Hope that helps!
