The brochure states that the Lilexo Mini Wi-Fi won't work unless it's connected to WiFi... but in a different part off the brochure (sort of instruction manual) there are instructions for "stand alone" function.At any rate, I tried for about 45 frustrating minutes to get this camera to connect to my home WiFi system and time after time it was no good. "A small problem" the app says. Well if it doesn't work it's kind of a BIG problem, isn't it?Also, the software app wouldn't go to the QR scanner when I'd try the Activate By QR Code method. But when I selected the "By Cable" path, THEN the QR scanner came on, but it didn't work that way either.Another problem with the 'setup' is that the WiFi brochure instructions did not match what the app screen was saying.This is a surprise because I have the smaller non-WiFi version and it's a cool little camera. But this WiFi one is probably twice as big and doesn't work on my system. Finally, I never could get this WiFi version to stop charging. It charged for several hours and never did finish. Red and blue LED alternating, which is not described in the brochure.Anybody who can get their camera working should go work for Apple or NSA, because they are probably a genius. Back it goes.

There is no live view, no motion recordings, no service AT ALL on your smartphone after the trial ends. You are forced into purchasing a plan if you need to see what is going on through your phone. I clicked the $69/yr. for 7 day continuous recording...I was fooled into thinking it was $14 a year, the way it is advertised, but that is the discount, not the price. I had never set up a camera with storage before. Read everything more carefully ,and watch what you push. I use a Verizon HotSpot for Wi-Fi because I am in the country. The camera eats up your Gigs like mad. I have unlimited service, which slows after 20 GB. A constant live stream was over 118 GB monthly. WOW. It is difficult to use other electronics simultaneously due to this .I am now searching for the company in order to at least switch to motion detection recording, because it has recorded zilch. NADA. What am I paying for here? All in all, it is a great little camera...but feeling like I am being trapped into making a purchase really angers me. Anyone know the name of the Cloud Storage Company? It does not state it in the instructions. UGH!!!

I recieved this camera with the intention of just putting it outside to make sure our stuff was safe from wandering people at night. This camera has given me so much more than that. My Mother was put in hospice care last week and this camera has given me such peace of mind being able to see her in real time without physically being in the room at all times. Being her full time caregiver is hard work but being able to not get up to check on her every 30 seconds does give me some me time.Very easy to hook up and it has a lot of features in the settings. My personal favorite is the motion detection that alerts me to any of my Mother's movements.The camera is very small and well hidden. the sound is crisp and clear as well as the image. I can zoom in if I need to and the picture doesn't get all blurry like most videos.I can't say enough good things about this product. I highly recommend.

You get what you pay for, the only issue is that you also have to sign up for storage (monthly fee). You get a free month and it worked then but as soon as that ran out the functionality did too. Hard to sync with router but should have been able to at least use real time video without it saying cant connect the whole time. But I did get a solid month out of it.

This camera is really neat - it's pretty amazing that you can buy something like this for so little. I'm using it to check on my home when I'm 8,000 miles away. The only tricky part was getting it to connect to the wifi at the beginning - like the other reviews say, keep trying and it will work. Apart from that everything is great - I'll be buying a couple more.

Great to keep an eye on the kids if I am in the next room. Still trying to figure out how I can connect it to a hotspot so I can see if it works in the car. Other than that the camera is phenomenal works great in light or in the dark and does not affect the viewing at all.

So this was pretty easy to connect to my phone and works great. I use it when daughter is sleeping or when she is up an playing and I am trying to get things done around the house. We tested the night vision with our dogs and it works great.

The camera is nice and small and easy to place. The picture quality is clear and stays connected to our wifi without dropping. Its square in size and fits in my palm.
