Not Bad But Has Some Issues
ONE MONTH LATER:Well, this watch began to lose time. Not a lot, but can lose a somewhat annoying amount of 3-4 minutes one day, and a few seconds another. Weird. Also, once the watch completely stops running, it’s very difficult to get it ticking, again. I literally have to give it a couple of hard taps against my palm to get it kicking. I’m not sure why. This review is from Day 1:Watch is good. Hard to get going, but goes, once it has. The band is a little cheap BUT ...it has some Luch signatures on it, so it’s worth keeping. I’ll give another review upon a month.CONCLUSION: AN AFFORDABLE INTERESTING RUSSIAN WATCH WHICH DEFINITELY ISN’T WORTH MORE THAN $50, YET IS QUITE LOVABLE. ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, ITS WORTH IT

Amazing Value
Love my unique one-handed watch. Been wearing it the last 3 days, since it arrived and already find it easy to read the time. My son and husband were quite perplexed by it until I showed them how to read the dial. Each small marking between the hour numerals represents 5 minutes, while the larger markings represent 15 minutes. Son said it looked like a pressure gauge strapped to my wrist, but he's 17, so what does he know? ;) It keeps surprisingly good time, for a manually wound watch. I love its minimalism, Cyrillic script and the fact that it's a mechanical watch. It looks pretty good on my wrist, though it's not a small watch and I have smaller than average (5.6 inch) wrists. I did change the strap though and got a couple extra holes punched in, to fit my skinny wrist. The original strap though real leather, looks cheap, but it's a tiny gripe for an otherwise amazing value for money watch, that's actually entirely made in the country of origin. Even the drawer-style presentation box is quite attractive. All in all, it's just fantastic bang for your buck. Very happy with it. Thanks Amazon and thank you Luch!

Three month update...
After 3 months I'm still impressed with this watch. Notably for the price and how smooth the winding mechanism is. As others have noted, you may want to replace the band. I prefer a silver metal band anyway, and ended up with this one: Brushed 316L Solid Stainless Steel Watch Bands Strap 20mm/22mm/24mm Double Locking Clasp Mens Black/Silver . Very nice.--------------------------------------Original review:Wow. A quality watch made in Russia. Who would have thought? So far (3 weeks) I'm impressed. It's solid, employs mechanical winding (which has a good solid feel to it), isn't too large or too thick so it goes well on my relatively small wrist, and keeps perfect time. I replaced the strap with a metal link band, which I find more comfortable, with no problems.

A Gem
The same with other Luch one-hand series models, this is rugged yet aesthetically pleasing. Please note that this is a hand winding but not automatically winding watch. However, I don’t mind that as it gives to an aesthetically pleasing very-thin presentation. If you like non-mainstream products like me, then you’ll appreciate a gem like this. The one hand, thin yet mechanical, Cyrillic inscriptions, an affordable pricing. Please note that the Cyrillic models seem to come with better bands than the Latin models, at least from my own purchases. The cyrillic models also came with a real box where as the latin model that I purchased came with a disposable sliding plastic and card, stapled, if you care. Please note that I have another design of cyrillic model purchased somewhere else, too. However, they had different pricing. So, maybe it is a giveaway. I hope this helps.Another reviewer for a different dial color brought up a good point. Casio 6 is self-winding but doesn’t have crown winding. This one has crown winding but isn’t self winding. So, given the same price, choose orange or apple.

Was perfectly working Now perfectly stopped. And restarted !👍🏻
OK, so it just came (quickly); well packed but in a box in a bag. I set the time, wound it maybe 15 times (didn't want to overwind it). It seems to be keeping time (ie the hand has moved), but should I hear it ticking? The watch is large for my wrist & the band (marked 'genuine leather" - whichfunny because everything else is in Russian, including the instruction booklet). The band fits on the last hole (ie closest to the watch face, but I have a small wrist); I'd prefer an expansion band - which I willget if the watch keeps time. Whoa - it now reads 2:47, which is correct! I'll see how it goes and plan to let it run out before I wind it more fully. Edited:I noticed some customer review photos show the watch face with ‘Luch’ and ‘15 jewels’ in English. Mine is completely in Russian. Front & back and theinstruction booklet. Still keeping perfect time.Edited 2/26/20. Totally stopped. Had been keeping perfect time previously Return window closed so I may try to start it by gently tapping as others have done . NEW Edit: tapped gently & it’s been working fine since! I think I may have wound it a bit too far, so I have switched to 7 winds twice a day. Perfect time once again.

Excellent quality!
I was pleasantly surprised regarding the quality of this Luch one-handed watch. Having collected former Eastern Bloc timepieces (Vostoks) I was used to the Spartan-like packaging of those. Not this watch. the presentation box it came in, although simple, was rather nice. The watch itself looks quite elegant. Winding it is also a pleasant experience. I've been using it for a day and so far accuracy is spot on. Having used watches (both digital and analog) for most of my life, I was expecting the transition to using a one-hander to be difficult. Surprisingly, it isn't! With a little practice, it's easy to get used to telling time with a one-hand watch. Actually telling time this way is quite stress relieving in a certain way. And finally, much has been written on the net on how poor the strap is that comes with this watch. The one that came with mine, is actually quite nice. The signed buckle is also a nice touch. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Privyet! to a cool watch
If you were thinking of getting one of those single hand swiss made SLOW MO8 watches for a couple of hundred then consider this instead. OK so the paperwork it comes with is all in Russian like Cyrillic (made in Belarus) and reminds me of the scene in the Simpsons when homer buys this foreign car ("Put it in 'H' !"). And yes it has no water resistance. But I love the fact it looks like some sort of pressure gauge on my wrist. Also when someone stops me to ask me the time I can be kinda vague "Yea sure it's...4 <mumble>". Once you get used to the markings (5 minute increments) it keeps very accurate time. The included strap is not so nice. So I stuck it on an old-style bond nato for the time being. I enclose a picture.

Love it. So do other people.
I think it maybe loses two or three minutes during a week. Easily fixed.I wanted something smart-looking to wear with my business suit, and this turned out to be a low-cost option that I haven't been without since. I think this might be a better option (for me) than the 24-hours-on-one-face alternatives, as it's easier to see the 15-minute spaces with my poor eyesight.I love it. Hope you do as well.

Appalling timekeeper
It lost 1/2 hour every hour!

Cheap and cheerful. Movement a bit flaky.
Very good time keeper. It don't overwind it as it will stop if you do that. The clockworkmechanism would make a Swiss watchmaker turn in his grave. It's a plastic covered unit made on an assembly line I think.

One handed watch!
Remarkable, beautifully made watch. No instructions in English, but none needed. Wind six times per day keeps things accurate.

Good value and no batteries
2 weeks in and working grand. People think my watch is broken until they work it out- more comments than any other watch I have.
