I had used this for multiple purposes, including to try out the whole "tape your mouth shut to prevent snoring" deal. It's a good product, it adheres without creating any kind stickiness, irritation, or discomfort when pulling off. It has good staying power as well, doesn't feel like it will fall of prior to you taking it off.My daughter has also used it for sports-related purposes. She has played flag football, softball, basketball, all kinds of ball and sports, sports, sports. We both agree on the quality of the product, for her to reduce pain, for me to reduce noise pain to my wife while I sleep. Although, I really don't use it for that purpose anymore, since I personally don't think it helps and may actually cause breathing problems.

A Youtube video changed my life forever. Essential Craftman was just answering email questions from his fans and he talked about his sleep apnea and making strips of sports tape to keep his mouth closed during sleep in place of using a Cpap machine. It's a new craze called hostage taping because some people cover their lips completely, which I don't agree with. I put my tape longwise from just under my nose, over the middle of my lips and down my chin. I can breath from both sides of the tape as well as a small hole I make while cutting strips of this tape. The tape roll is about 2-1/2 inches wide and I cut 1 or 1-1/2 inch strips from the roll. I fold it about 1/3 of the way down and cut a very smal diamond shaped hole in it for emergency breathing. I place the tape from under my nose to the bottom of my chin keeping the hole right in the middle of my lips. The sides of the tape won't completely cover your mouth on each side and you can breath if your nose gets stuffed up like mine does while I sleep. I think this is a much safer way than putting the tape sideways across both of your lips completely covering your mouth. Also, it is easier to get it off your face when you wake partially up in the middle of the night with a stuffed up nose. I've seen people selling labeled "Hostage Tape" (which are basically this sports tape pre-cut into 10 bandaids that cover your whole mouth) for a lot of dollars. I bought the whole roll and made about 50 of them for 1/10th the price. Hope this helps you with your decision to try to treat sleep apnea with a different method other than CPAP machines. It's been a fantastic help to me but I'm not a lincense medical professional and I suggest you check with them before kicking your Cpap to the curb.

I use this product to hold my continuous glucose monitor to my arm. It keeps the monito waterproof and adheres well.

I've been using this tape as an alternative to using my CPAP machine for my sleep apnea.This tape works great, and I have a goatee! I tried the Nexcare tape prior to this one and the Nexcare did not work for me.GrifGrips works and it works great! I got it after watching a video. The video also suggests that you cut a small hole in the middle of where your mouth is. Make sure you don't cut it too long or your mouth will open and beat the whole purpose of trying to keep it close. Practice makes perfect.So, if you are here for sleep apnea- this has worked for me! If not, I don't know how the tape works, I don't use it for anything else :P :)

The texture of the tape is really nice. It is soft and pliable and stretches over areas well. However its ability to remain on the surface where I place it for more than a few days isn't the best. I guess it depends on your application, but for my situation, it wasn't the best fit.

I've tried several tapes, several top brands for mouth taping and none work as well as this tape.It holds its grip. It doesn't come off until you want it off and then it comes off without hurting. It stops my jaw from relaxing open while I sleep and that prevents dry mouth, snoring and sleep apnea for me. I now sleep the whole night through without waking up.I highly recommend this product.I cut about an inch wide, cut a small slit where my lips are and tape my mouth shut vertically, just under my nose, across my shut mouth and down by my chin.

I have also ceased giving my wife nightmares because it’s impossible to snore like a monster when my mouth is taped shut like a hostage.

This holds up during game time really well
