besides using this on my cat, how do I eliminate the spores from the furniture and the cat tree?

I've used a very diluted solution of this to wash down the cat tree perches if they are made of carpeting, this after thoroughly washing with detergent water and a brush to remove all dead fur. If you can move the tree outdoors so the perches can dry in the sun this helps also. I did this successfully for a $1,000 cat tree. If the tree is not expensive, just toss it and buy new..
