Complete waste of time - the "best" Windows laptop is still a usability disaster
This has brilliant reviews and in 2020 has been by far the recommended mid-priced Windows laptop in magazines and websites - I know because I searched. This really shows quite how hopeless the Microsoft Windows product now is. I bought this for my remote 79 year old mother under Coronavirus, I spent hours reading reviews to make sure I got the machine least likely to let me down and work for her out of the box. £400 these days isn't the cheapest PC and I felt I'd removed that risk. I should have known better.I've now spent the best part of 10-12 hours in 1 week on the phone trying to help get it setup for basic tasks. I have a background in IT and you only need to hear the comments and questions from a 79 year old to know how utterly terrible the usability design is in Windows - I would say it is non existent. And if this is the best Windows 10 laptop on the market (as many magazines claim) then it's a sad indictment for how feeble Windows has become. Nothing is easy, nothing works, and solving problems is a game of chance. At work I've always believed in the IBM Thinkpad product (now owned by Lenovo) so I'm not at all anti PC. But if this is a serious home user device then Lenovo and Microsoft have a long way to go. Audio/microphone doesn't work out of the box, drivers are not up to date, bluetooth doesn't work out of the box, fixing all these things requires clicking about between a dazzling array of badly designed semi-identical configuration options. I've never seen such a bad "settings" UX. Options even just load Youtube video search results. How anyone thinks this is a machine you could happily leave a pensioner to their own devices on is beyond me. As my mother kept pointing out several times - it all just works on my iPad, why doesn't it work here. Sadly it's a great question and Microsoft has had years to solve. If this is the best on the market - and I don't doubt the spec, with an SSD drive it seems to boot quickly - then Windows 10 users are prepared to put up with incredible limitations. Sadly I can't accept £400 to spend hours and hours trying to get it working.Oh - and anyone on lockdown, Zoom doesn't work at all - not in the default "S mode" (Microsoft's attempt to lock down their devices because they're out of ideas how to allow them to co-exist happily with other software). Even just installing the latest version of Microsoft's own Windows 10 browser (Edge), requires going round in circles for hours. Eventually we left S mode and installed Zoom but nothing else works. This is a brand new device and I have a degree in Computer Science. My mum and any other basic user deserve better.Returning the device and paying twice the price (£900+) for an Apple laptop she can actually use and will last her for years and make sense to her, is now a no brainer, it's a crazy price for a pensioner - but what else is there among the Windows products? She has used Windows for years but if this is how hard the best PC is for a pensioner to use there is little point hoping to strike a nice balance between reliability and price - if the £400 multi-award winning Windows 10 laptop needs this much support to start using, they have no chance.

Good quality value laptop for starters
Only 4gb RAM so runs a bit slow needs a bit more under the bonnet so to speak. But sleek and stylish easy to store, and good keyboard. Bought for my son who has learning needs but is good on IT and it works really well for him. Small compact screen but great image quality. Keyboard light and responsive. Doesn't have touch screen which is why I rated that 1. All round a very good purchase I bought 2 of granddaughters the 330 which is the one prior to this model and they have been ace to. Lenovo is a very good make would highly recommend it. Came next day on prime very pleased.

Great day to day laptop
Great sturdy, day to day laptop. Quick & functional. Camera could be better but more than sufficient for the odd zoom call for work/social. I wish I’d looked into the memory size more as I’m having to utilise cloud now but overall it does what I need.

Fantastic laptop
I am currently doing a masters and this laptop is fantastic. Easy set up, responds quickly (important to me as I hate waiting for things to load as I'm impatient with technology). Clear crisp screen. Very impressed. I don't use it for gaming.
