Philips Gaming 326M6VJRMB - 32 inch 4K UHD Monitor, 60Hz, 4ms, MVA, HDR600, Speakers , Height Adjust, Ambiglow (3840 x 2160, 600 cd/m², HDMI / DP/ USB 3.0)

I really wanted to like this monitor. It has everything on paper that I wanted at an affordable price of £470!!!. The colours are great, the HDR is great, the contrast is great even has some local dimming. What let it down at first was bleeding light in the corners of the screen on black backgrounds, it is quite bad but only noticable on black scenes and i wasn't that bothered as this is a common problem with the type of panel on a lot of brands. Next is the ambiglow lighting, This does not sync very well with the screen, its slow to respond and literally blinks on off in different areas and is very noticeable. The next problem is HDR, I hadn't noticed this at first because I have not used my pc a lot till recently. The screen gets seriously hot, I measured the edges of the screen at 66c!!!. at this point the pixels on the edge of the monitor start turning off. you can feel the heat coming off this monitor and if you have to sit quite close it gets uncomfortably hot to work on the pc. About the same time i started to see the overheating I then realised the the edge of the monitor is not aligned with the bezel. I get a black bar increasing in size up either side of the monitor it looks exactly like the screen is tilted slightly to the right. you get 3mm black bar on the top left corner and this goes down the edge of the screen tapering off to no black edge visible. this is also noticeable on the right hand side in the opposite manner but not as bad. I contacted amazon who at first seemed very helpful in asking if I wanted a repair and pointed me towards Philips support and even called them and passed me over to them. It turns out that philips is not actually philips anymore! its the manufacture TPV-Tech and all support is now with them and not philips. It seems philips has washed there hands with their tv and monitor line up, you get given the support links to philips site but that support basically gets ignored and your contacted via TPV-tech and at this point it all seemed like a scam and i was a little concerned to deal with them. after several emails explaining the issue they then point out that it is in fact amazon that has responsibility with the warranty as they have a two year deal as part of the supplier. so I have just gone full circle and wasted a week. I contact amazon to find out the only option is a refund. my options are limited I have not the budget to spend more and we are basically stuck in this market of overpriced monitors and nothing being released. I look around and I cant find any other monitor with the specs that this philips has. I then see they still sell the monitor on amazon and the link for this monitor from my order takes me here. The monitor has gone up £100!!!!!!!!! and only recently as well. I contact amazon but they tell me the supplier has changed so they cant offer a replacement only a refund!. well Bs. I have decided that seeing as it would be difficult to get a decent 4k monitor with HDR600 and G-sync compatible. Its best just to downgrade and wait for the market to offer something more affordable. I have gone with QHD display a drop in resolution should offer some higher fps I bought 165hz monitor instead so hopefully trade off will work out.... Very disappointed but at least I get a full refund with amazon as a lot of places only offer partial refunds as you have has some use of the product, its all a rip off imo.

I feel this is probably the best 'low-cost' 4K HDR monitor on the market, with unbeatable image quality for the price. But it isn't free from problems. On the positive side, the image quality is superb. Even in SDR mode colours are vivid without being cartoony, contrast and black levels are excellent as you'd expect from a VA panel. HDR has stunningly gorgeous colour and really is a big step forward. On my unit uniformity and backlight bleed - so often a weak spot in today's monitors - are both very good indeed. On the whole I have no complaints about the picture on this model, it's impressive indeed. For productivity and video work I'd recommend the Philips highly. Gaming is a little more shaky as a 60Hz 4K screen provides a good gaming experience, but a 144Hz 1440p model is undoubtedly a better bet. The Freesync implementation is not wonderful either, it seems to actually have a negative effect on motion smoothness in some games. Now, the bad points. Build quality is... poor. It's easy to see where money was saved. The case is flimsy and creaks when moved, the stand is just plain bad. 'Ambiglow' is nice for lighting up your desk, but not much else. And the HDR is great in bright scenes but shows some glow in dark ones. The Philips is best summed up as a great LCD panel surrounded by an average monitor. Am I happy with mine? You bet. A 4k HDR screen with a good quality VA panel at this price? Yes please. But just be aware that some corners had to be cut to meet that price.

Great screen, picture seems crisp, not noticed much in the way of screen lag. I have a couple of bits I dont like but overall it's nice screen. Problems 1 - the ambi glow doesn't match the screen as you would expect 2 - low blue mode constantly switches off 3 - I've noticed the screen change levels of brightness when playing games, I.e. white screen suddenly and noticeably gets brighter. Edit: The joy stick button thing on the back isnt great either it can some times take a few attempts to get it to work. Less and less impressed with the features of this monitor. Still cant fault the actual screens image

I would not recommend this product at all. I tried two of them and both suffered from a crazy amount of backlight bleed! The light strip at the bottom was OK, but doesn't actually light up as well as the box would have you believe. Ended up going for a BenQ 27 2K IPS monitor and its far better.

Backlight bleed has always been a problem, but it is getting worse. The four corners light up compared to the rest of the screen, it is unusable with HDR enabled as the corners are even worse. I bought this 1 year ago and tried to live with it but it is worse than ever now. I recently tried to contact Philips but they do not supply anymore so it looks like I am stuck with it. Update Excellent customer care by Amazon, they are collecting for a refund.

POSITIVE: Very sharp 10-bit Full-RGB range 4K and vivid colours with a true HDR compared to many many 4K HDR monitors that have fake HDR with 300nits. Also, unlike other similar monitors, this has HDR backlit control, NORMAL (300nits) HDR600 (600nits). Other similar monitors does not have any sort of backlight control when HDR is set. I also think 600nits is the sweet spot for the screen of this size when sitting close. No noticeable ghosting (60Hz). The input lag is great. FreeSync works too (40Hz-60Hz) with no major noticeable tear (I used Nvida card, where set the Nvidia control panel 'Vsync = Fast' and in-game 'Vsync = off'). 10-bit Full-RGB is only available via Displayport (mainly PC), Using HDMI you will only get 8-bit FRC which works okay on PS4 and Xbox One X. This is not negative, but the limitation of HDMI 2.0. FreeSync also works with the Xbox & PS4 don't have this feature. Given its a VA panel with much better contrast and refresh rate compared to IPS display. The viewing angle is great compared to other VA panels I used in the past. Local dimming works great too and not many monitors of this price range have this. I also noted that this monitor is factory calibrated/tested which is great too. Basically, they test every monitors for colour accuracy before packing. The stand is very solid NEGATIVE: This monitor suffers from very...very bad light bleed. Sure its a VA panel and suppose to, but it is so unbalanced bleed. What I mean is that, even cheaper monitors, either be edge-lit or back-lit panels all bleed bad, but at least they are evenly lit. This particular monitor has bleed on all the edges of the screen, especially on 4 corners of the panel which is noticeable even on day time. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> OVERALL <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<: I had to return this monitor simply due to the screen back light bleed. Its such an annoying, if watching, for example, any movies that have top & bottom black bars. Any website that has other colours then the white background will be unevenly lit. Either be playing games, watching movies and worse, photo editing, the centre of the screen is fine but all around the edges its uneven. My particular one, say, full red background, the top right will be sort of pinkish & bottom left will be sort of brownish, this is what I mean by uneven backlight bleed. OTHER: The joystick is sometimes hard to find as the placement is not perfect, it would be better if it was bottom-centre or at least at the perfect corner of the bottom-right of the screen. Once I do find it, it's very useful (though need to get used to it at first). The menu system is nicely presented too. The ambi-light is kind of weird. Philips suppose to be the best at ambilight TVs (they are the only manufacturer) but this is placed directly at the bottom which is kind of distracting ( guess they made this decision as unlike TVs, monitors not always sit back of wall). The auto mode does work 70% of the times and represents an overall colour of what is displayed, but it has few milliseconds delays and this is really distracting. Also when placed at desk at face-level the LED peaks through. So this feature is quite useless. And worse, if you have glossy (even slightly glossy) desk, the lights will reflect on the desk revealing the LEDs, the glossy triangular stand that comes with it reflects the LEDs. You can set it manually to one colour or slow moving colour patterns.

Ich kann die vielen negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen, besonders nicht dass Backlight bleeding: Bei normaler Helligkeit im Büro, kann ich keine helen Bereich in dem Ecken erkennen. Nur wenn man den Raum komplett abdunkelt sieht man die helleren Ecken. Die Bildqualität ist super, sattes schwarz, schöne Farben, mehr als ausreichend Helligkeit im Bürovertrieb und für Bildbearbeitung. Der Standfuss ist ausreichend stabil, beim Tippen oder beim Bedienen der Maus steht der Monitor stabil ohne zu wackeln. Den HDR Modus kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich das nicht nutze. Auch das Verhalten bei Spielen kann ich nicht beurteilen.

J'ai commandé en connaissance de cause, j'avais bien lu les pb de fuite de lumière au final ça ne me gène pas tant que ça et la qualité d'image est superbe utilisé sur une PS4 pour le mode HDR

Excelente monitor para quien como yo, use varias consolas. Tres puertos HDMI y un DisplayPort. Excelente calidad de imagen. El sonido es un poco cutre pero yo lo saco por altavoces. En mi caso las fugaz de luz con los negros es prácticamente imperceptible.

Mi piace tutto. Sono quasi geloso che possano averlo altri. Scherzo. Da comprare ad occhi chiusi. Eccellente in tutto. Fedeltà Colori e contrasto ai massimi livelli.

Cerco di valutare questo monitor per quello che si propone di essere, uno schermo dedicato al gaming su console con HDR600. Valutato in base a questo utilizzo il monitor ha tre problemi: - Quando si attiva l'HDR la retroilluminazione è molto poco omogenea, in particolare ai quattro angoli si visualizzano chiaramente fasci di luce di alcuni cm che danno molto fastidio nelle scene scure. Senza HDR invece non ci sono problemi di omogeneità. - Il trattamento antiriflesso è molto forte ed impasta i colori chiari ed omogenei. Avrebbe senso in un monitor da ufficio in cui non si deve affaticare la vista con riflessi, ma non ha senso per un monitor da gaming. - L'audio degli altoparlanti è distorto e debole sulle basse frequenze, un paio di casse da pochi euro rendono meglio. Tra i punti positivi un HDR molto efficace e colori vividi ma non bastano per compensare i difetti enunciati.
