Nice black tempera with the most pleasant smell. I was surprised at this price point how nice of a tempera paint this was. Medium thickness, might need two coats if you want a thick coverage. Easy to clean off of surfaces. Good quantity for the price. Did not leak in shipping, well packed. Easy to blend with other tempera paints. Recommend!

I use this paint in my classroom, and it’s fantastic! The consistency is perfect—smooth and easy to work with—and it covers surfaces really well. Color quality is good . Good for school and kids events

I had been testing coatings for laser engraving glass. Laser tape, spray on coatings, etc... Most had more cleanup than I liked. I ran across a short video of someone recommending Tempra as it is water soluble, not really toxic and cleans up quick. Boy were they correct. I had 30 glasses to customize and after testing Tempra using small bottles from the local big box arts and crafts store this 64oz bottle was an excellent value for my needs. Mixed 50/50 with water and dipping the glasses into the mixture a few times gives a smooth, thin but dark coating that works perfectly for me. The finished product is simple to clean up. Just a soft sponge and warm water.

It’s probably good for school projects or simple indoor projects, but it does not give a lot of coverage for anything else. Overall, it’s a decent paint

I found the smell of this paint pleasant. A joy compared to other cheap paints that have a chemical odor such as sergeant art brand. I make my own gesso with calcium carbonate (chalk powder). I also use baby powder to make a sort of ooblek fluid. When you mix starch and water together you get a fluid that will become solid when worked. When at rest it goes back to a normal fluid. This can be incredibly helpful when trying to get your first surface treatment to make a thick layer without having to wait for it to dry. Essentially the idea is to keep things as even as possible. Not too much baby powder or it will be a powdery mess even after it dries. Calcium carbonate dies the job in preventing the baby powder from falling off after it dries. I also found this paint to help with this problem as well. I plan on buying more of this paint for that reason alone. I do mixed media on all types of surfaces. Needless to say you have to find something that works without spending a fortune on gesso alone. If you plan on trying a starch like I did. Do several experiment batches first. Getting that perfect mix is tricky the first couple of times you do it. This paint really helped in this and the smell with the baby powder is amazing.

Believe it or not, it’s very hard to find a decent royal blue that actually looks the shade it needs to be. We use this for our cheer team when we paint signs, and it’s one of our school colors so we’re very picky about shades. I’ve tried pretty much every shade at Walmart and hobby lobby, and this is the only one that matches well, and also a great price for the size we get! It’s a perfect royal blue, we even bought the other colors we needed from them also! I will be buying all of our main colors of paint from them also. It’s always much cheaper buying in bulk and we go through these like crazy so I’m glad I found something that works perfect for us!

The paint was the perfect size for the event and was very easy to wash off hands using only water and a sponge. I order 3 colors and 1 came with a loose top, not much of a mess to clean up thankfully. I would suggest using a plastic protector to make sure the top stays on better during shipping.
