These are very unique and have the taste of a really high quality pear! At first, when I took a taste of these the texture seemed like a piece of leather. But within a second or two as saliva moistens the dried pear, a really nice quality pear taste emerges. The after taste is amazing and makes these things addictive. These beat any generic pear you're going to get in the grocery. The quality of pears used in this product is excellent. The price seems a bit too high for me. Due to a very restricted diet after surgery, I was eating a lot more fruit than usual. Started really liking dried fruit but most come with too much sugar and sulfate. These became my favorite but due to cost, not going to continue on a regular basis. As you enjoy these, you can just imagine the other treats you could make with these. Excellent addition to salads, muffins, in oatmeal etc. These definitly have the taste of a high quality pear not a sugar infused product overloaded with sulfate. The makers of this product really do care about what they are selling.

These are very tasty, but chewy. We really like them, but, at over $20/lb, somewhat expensive.

Pears are a rare treat for me. While shopping for dried fruit here, I saw these and had to try them. When you eat them while keeping the texture of a pear in mind, they're good. The pears are sliced, but they DO have their skins on them. Skin on a regular pear is rough, and the drying process increases the roughness to the point where the skins are brittle and can taste gritty. I think a lot more people would enjoy these dried pear slices if the pears were peeled before slicing and drying them. Eating the actual fruit itself, it's fairly good.. They're not as flavorful as a pear that isn't dried but they're not lacking horribly in flavor. I didn't mind them but I can see how other reviewers found them lacking in taste. Honestly, aside from my suggestion of peeling the pears I don't think there's anything that could be done to add flavor to these pear slices, aside from adding ingredients like sugar. But "No sugar added" was a reason why I bought these dried pears. Also, I didn't have any issues with rotten fruit or the like, though I did follow instructions and stored the pears in the fridge after I opened the bag.

Delicious, tho quite dear. If you want to cook with them you’ll need several bags. Great for snacks.

I'd never tried dried pears before, but I really like dried apples, I thought that these would be similar. But these aren't thick and soft like the brands of dried apples I'm used to, instead they're stiff and chewy. Given that they're unsweetened, I was unprepared for how cloyingly sweet they are naturally. They've been sitting on my shelf uneaten for a number of months.

These are not dried pears, with the succulence one expects. These are freeze dried, wafer thin, slices of what perhaps was once pear but now is just a leathery unknown.

Honestly, these don't really taste like pears but they're delicious! I've had dried pears before that must've had a lot of added sugar and were disgusting. I was hesitant to try more dried pears because of that but thought these would be worth a try since they don't have anything added. They have a carmelized sweetness, are softly chewy; absolutely fantastic and will be ordering again.

I love it, which is why I just re-purched it—delicious as a healthy dessert!
