I am concerned with dehydrators that don't reach 160 degrees for drying beef jerky. This one will reach 167 and has a nice 2 temp function. Small and compact. I can dehydrate 4 lbs at a time so it is not made for production. Quality made with a glass door. I think it is overpriced compared to what's on the market, but it's like buying a Mercedes vs a Ford. In the end I think it'll be worth the extra $

Initial impression- Seems to be a well built unit. Once at temp- the door did pop open on its own. I noticed only one of the magnets on the closure was in contact with the strike plate on the glass. This was easily remedied- the tempered glass door was not completely seated in the hinge which caused it to be misaligned. The glass was gently pushed deeper into the lower hinge, which resolved the problem. I’ve seen several reviews on the internet stating- “ will not reach advertised temps” On the initial test run, it met / surpassed advertised temps consistently over a 4 hour period with a +/- 3.5 degrees measured from top to bottom rack from the set temp. The unit had no food in it at the time, but I suspect that it will perform equally well once the 40 degree food inserted on the racks comes up to temp. So far, pleased with the purchase even with the minor door alignment, quality control issue. Update- The unit has run multiple batches of sweet potatoe, banana chip etc .... flawlessly. The first high temperature run was some bacon flavored ground venison jerky. The product performed as expected, no issues whatsoever. The Jerky was great and safe temps were reached and maintained quickly. Longevity will be the next test. This product will be used on a regular basis moving forward.

I wanted to start off by saying that this product is quality built. When I started to search for quality dehydrators, I wanted either USA, Korean, or Japanese manufacture in that order. No "made in China". I want quality. After searching for an hour and reading reviews, things started to look the same. The reviews all look the same. Good quality this. Good quality that. I waited a bit to write this review so I can get my hands on it and test it out to give it a fair shake down. I have a restaurant. I know a good equipment when I see it. This is a great product. I bought the dehydrator with the SS trays and not plastic. I've been using this dehydrator nonstop for over a week and the performance is solid. Programming is very user friendly. I did read the manual to understand the multi function feature. I used 23 lbs of bananas on one of the runs. Cut them about 3/8" thick and dipped them in lemon juice. After about 20 hours, it was done. It was yummy. If you read my review so far, you must be wondering why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. The SS trays are not built ridgid enough. All the trays moves slightly out of shape, but goes back to the original shape. If the outer frame was a bit thicker/stronger, it would not have caught eye. It isn't a big issue. Just an observation. For the price I paid, I expected a bit better quality. I would highly recommend this dehydrator. Only time will tell about durability. I'll make corrections over time. I'll write up a review maybe a year later as well.

Disliked that either it wasnt shipped to correct address or UPS lost it ( not sure how you loose that big of a box) but after contact with Amazon another was ordered and delivered pretty quickly. It works great.. it’s definitely quieter than my older Excalibur but it’s not that quiet either. I really like this thing! I its easy to clean ( although I wish it was sold with the silicone sheets.. they can be purchased at the Tribest website as well as extra reusable filters.. which those filters are another great plus with this machine.. ) So it’s well worth what we paid for it! I’d definitely buy this one again if I ever need another.

has an expensive appliance feel does the job. worth the $$

We have been using our food dryer for at least 2 seasons. It works well. The only problem is the door. The glass door is heavy and the set screws in the hinges do not hold it in place well. I tightened the screws to hold the door in place and broke the upper hinge. The company sent a new hinge. Instead of over tightening the screws to secure the glass door I added a wire to hold the door in place so it would not break the hinge again. The hinges need to be made of steel instead of pot metal for strength to support a door of this weight.

I was worried about purchasing this machine because of the high price. But I am so happy I did. I have been using it for dehydrating all kinds of fruit, and I just did my first batch of beef jerky which came out fantastic. I highly recommend this machine. De manera muy sencilla en su operación, fácilmente deshidratamos frutas.

Me ha funcionado bien, solo que tengo que rotar las charolas de nivel para obtener un resultado mas uniforme en el producto, si es tres veces durante el ciclo es mejor. Creo que esto podría mejorarse.

Las características del deshidratador cumplen para ser de los mejores, ofrecen una garantía bastante amplia, sin embargo el equipo me llegó roto de una de las visagras de la puerta (superior). Mi percepción es que los materiales son demasiado frágiles (o corrientes). No es un equipo barato, sin embargo me quedé con muy mala impresión.

Bought this and have used it twice. The first time we dehydrated some garlic and it worked great. Second time we were dehydrating some basil. Opened the door at the end of the cycle and the glass fell out of the frame hit the counter and landed on the floor. It shattered into many pieces. We contacted the seller and they responded pretty much immediately and said to contact the manufacturer. We contacted the manufacturer last week and have heard nothing back. Very disappointing!!
