Cleaned Up our Computers Act!
This is a LENOVO docking station that works very well with legacy LENOVO Laptops. Our child's school computer is a 2021 LENOVO IdeaPad3 which is used for virtual school. Recently it has been having occasional WIFI issues. Unfortunately, the computer has been having occasional WIFI issues, and there is no Ethernet port on the computer. In fact, we already have a port expander on it to accommodate all of the various peripherals connected to it. I did not want to add a USB to the ethernet connected to a hub connected to the laptop solution here. So we wanted to find a USB 3 docking port that we could use and provide Ethernet through that. This little docking port allowed us to clean up the computers act here. We used all of the USB ports on the dock, and now have an Ethernet and I guess a second monitor port if needed. The dock is very compact. The cable to attach it is quite short but still works for us. However, it was challenging as the USB ports on the Ideapad are on the LHS only, and the Monitor is on the RHS so that's a challenge with the short cable as we use the laptop screen as well as a large 20" monitor as well. That aside everything connected and was found after reboot. The docking port has an on-off switch so make sure to turn it on! The Thinkpad logo has a little red LED (dot) to indicate power. The dock also has the ability to mount it to a wall or cabinet if needed, a nice touch. In our testing, there have been no issues with the connectivity, and the device has nicely grouped all the cables up, and now sits under the monitor. This was rather expensive considering the performance (no USBC) but that's actually what I needed, and this style of dock is fast disappearing. Sometimes on the trailing edge of technology the cost curve goes up. You just have to accept that there is limited supply of these devices now and bit the bullet. I know I did and I don't regret it.The quality is top-notch. Everything was present and correct. It's easy to hook up - just remember to turn it on! Recommended, yes without reservation at all.

GREAT DOCKING STATION. WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
I was fortunate to be able to buy this item as an open box item and saved a bit of money. Even if I had not, I would have bought this item and found that it did exactly what it purported to do. I connected all of the various peripherals into a single location which could be connected to the laptop (in this case a Lenovo FLEX 4-1570 with a single USB 3.0 cable from the dock to the computer. I understand that others have complained about the lack of the ability of the dock to charge the computer but that was not an issue for me and, frankly, the cost of a second charging cable is so insignificant that it should not be an issue for others. What sold me was the fact that I downloaded and installed the driver from the Lenovo support site first and then with all cables (including an HDMI to be able to connect my desktop monitor [larger than the laptop monitor of course], with other docks not having an HDMI port) I plugged in the USB 3.0 cable and everything worked perfectly -- printers, ethernet, external hard drive, etc. -- essentially making the laptop a CPU when I am sitting at my desk. But I must admit that I first checked with Lenovo to see which docks would best work with this laptop.

Works with Lenovo Flex 14
Works well with Lenovo Flex 14 even though not listed as compatible device. Only issue after 9 months is one of the monitors goes blank occasionally for 2-3 seconds before returning to normal. Only happens once or twice a week with 3-6 hour every day use. Easy to follow instructions but must download driver from link provided before connecting. Easily supports 2 external monitors, backup drive, keyboard/mouse dongle, printer, ethernet and more. Nice features include always-on USB 3.0 front and back for charging devices and top on/off button when leaving for extended time.

Works as expected allows for me to use the two monitors in my office and have my mouse and keyboard ready to go. Quick one plug and done connection. Had a few issues early on with getting things to work on setup.I had to lookup and the update drivers and has worked flawlessly for two weeks of constant use after that.

It works for me
It works as I expected. I now have 3 monitors plus the Laptop Display. Two monitors are plugged into this Ultra Dock. Both of the displays are HDMI so I also ordered a Display Port to HDMI adapter ( SIENOC Displayport DP Male to HDMI Female DP to HDMI Adapter Cable Video Audio Converter Color Black SIENOC Displayport DP Male to HDMI Female DP to HDMI Adapter Cable Video Audio Converter Color Black) since this unit has 1 HDMI output and 1 DisplayPort output. I plugged everything in and once the drivers were automatically installed I was able to configure the displays. I am using a ThinkPad T430 running Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit Edition - 6.1.7601. The third monitor is plugged into the VGA port on the laptop. All 3 work perfectly and I have watched video on them with no issues. I am using the Ethernet Port for connection now and it works correctly. I also have an external USB3 HDD plugged into one of the USB 3.0 ports and it is working just like it was plugged directly into a port on the laptop. I think this will work for me just fine.
