Q: What is the pin mapping from the rj45 to db9 pins?

I'm sorry but I don't know what the pin mapping is. Because they come as a matched pair of adaptors it didn't matter to me. I used one at each end of a standard 25 foot Cat5e patch cable to make a long DB9-Male to DB9-Female cable and it has been working with no problems for over 6 months. I have previously used other similar adaptors and as you probably suspect there is no standardization. That is why this matched set was appealing.

The RJ45 to RS232 cable is not for video. A DSub15 is the standard connector for VGA video. RS232 is a serial data standard.
