Can't get a better mechanical call

For the true hunters: This Hyper Lip is one of my most valuable cow calls I use every season. VERY loud without the converter on, cow calls will carry for hundreds of yards even in a stiff wind. I use this and my mouth diaphragm calls to bring in those bulls (or stupid spike elk). I love the variances I can make with my mouth calls, but this one is reliable every time I give it a go. Great for really aggressive calling when you have a stubborn bull hanging back in the trees not wanting to unmask. My son is 10 this year and went bow hunting with me last year. This one is for him to start learning on so he can help me "create" another estrus cow out in the sticks! Never go without. The hoochie mama is okay, but you only get one sound out of it. You can really get whining on this bad boy! Give it a go!

This is a great cow call. I lost my last one and purchased this as a replacement. the sound quality is great. It makes it easy to make a wide range of smooth sounding calls. I love the option to use with or without the rubber end. I use it without when calling to elk that are a little further out or there is background noise. I used it two weeks ago to call an elk that was across a noisy creek on a windy day. I also used it with the tone converter for some very close range calling. I kept six cows within fifty yards for almost half an hour with it. My friend and I both killed elk this season using this call.

Sounds ok as a whole. When I take the black end piece off, it sounds very good. Its just also very, very loud with that piece off. My biggest gripe is that without a lot of moisture, it does not work consistently. You may say, so what? Well, when actually hunting in the Rockies at altitude, moisture isn't always the thing you have in abundance in your lips. At least I get chapped lips, even while staying hydrated. I will be sticking with in-mouth calls for this reason.

I liked the tone converter. It allowed for more quieter and subtle calls.
