A Decent introduction to reframing and spotting/changing meanings
The basic idea of the book is to reduce your habitual states of mind into themes and defining these themes as a game. Games are not by definition positive or negative, by defining something as a game you can deconstruct it into a set of rules. The book discusses spotting the games and changing them if you don't like them. The rules of the game are the frames or the contexts that drive them. By changing the frames/contexts you change the game. The best selling book the author has written is called Mindlines, which is a book on reframing, its a very academic and advanced book. This book is probably a decent book to read before you get stuck into mindlines (which is an essential read for anybody looking to develop advanced reframing skills)

Well done, but style a little difficult
This is typical Hall style. Well written, language is a little cumbersome due to authors attempts to avoid certain impressions he wishes to avoid. This is more a coaching approach that most of his earlier works. His ideas have coalesced into a clearer format. There are still a fair number of typos and minor grammatical mistakes. I believe his ideas and approaches will continue to gain support in the mental health fields.
