No other codes came up, so, this vehicle, bought on Craigslist for $1700.00, is a real bargain, with 140,000 miles, and should work well for another 360,000+miles! We have a couple more with >280,000 miles on them, without problems! Also, bought those others, All Wheel Drives, on CL for <$900,00 each.Excelvan U480 reads, and resets codes. This is a well made device, at a GREAT price!The booklet is well written, with instructions, pictures, and lists the trouble codes in the 46 page booklet, on pages 12 through 46.The package is suitable for my storage of the book and Excelvan U480 Scanner. Nice tool, which would have cost me$46,000.00 if I had bought the SnapOn diagnostic scope cart, instead...Actually, you can go to most auto parts stores, and get codes read for free, but, their interpretation of the code might not be accurate, and you might purchase expensive parts that don't always repair the real problem!Better to have the proper tools in your possession, and with some knowledge, it saves time, money, towing, and travel!

Easily cleared the code which cropped up when I forgot to replace gas cap on my 1999 Nissan Pathfinder LE. Dealer wanted $60 to do what this device did for less than $20 plus I have a cool device I may need to use again someday.

Looks up fault codes stored in memory, checks CELs, ABS lights and erases them.My VW is an MK3 Jetta 93-99, there are features on this scan tool that my car does not have. Because of the price and that I did not spend more money, it does not have live feed data.Most that are using this scan tool will not ever need or know how to use that feature.If in a bind and you need to clear codes until you can afford a better scanner with live feed data, this one is great.

I own a 2001 Toyota Highlander, and have grown tired of getting charged for code reading at my nearby mechanic. Thanks to this inexpensive device, I can now easily diagnose check engine alerts myself. For this reason alone, I am happy with my purchase.The device runs on power drawn from the car, and so requires no batteries. The absence of any internal power system is part of the reason for the extremely light weight of the device, but the build is still very cheap. I've used it myself a few times, and have loaned it to a few friends to check out their vehicles, and so far there has been no issue pulling up codes to research online. If you aren't nearby a mechanic or auto parts store that will diagnose check engine codes for free, this will pay for itself with one use or less.

Just buy this. It easily reads the codes and you can Google what they mean. The instruction book stinks but who cares, that is what the internet is for. The best part of it is you can reset the engine light. I have used it on four people's care now with no issues. Here in town most places want a diagnostic fee of $49. You can buy this and make your money back in one time of using it. The shop hates me when I come in with the diagnostic code and I tell them what is wrong. They can't up charge me like everyone else.

Let's see. THe garage wanted $45 to read the "check engine" light code and Autozone no longer does it due to law suits, so for $20 I've now got this in my glovebox. It worked perfectly displaying the error code on my Jeep (which I looked up on Google to find out what was wrong and how to fix it) and I also used it to read a friend's BMW error code. Super simple to use with the instruction book included. Clears the code lights, too. If I ever lose this, I'll buy another one.

Diagnosed my abs issue on my 02 passat and that's about all it will read on my passat. . It has many functions that won't work on my car. So many.. It wouldn't read my engine light. Awesome junk. And the company i was dealing that made this wonderful piece of junk rots too never got back to me with a solution to make the scanner work with my car with a software update like I was promised. The scanner is in the trash can I'll buy one from ecs tuning they guarantee it will work with my passat.

Like most German cars I had a check engine light pop on in my 06 Audi s4. I didn't have a vcds code reader at the time. So I looked into a new one and ended up with this. It hasn't failed me yet. It has worked great to figure out multiple CEL's and has lead me to fix the issues. I also really like that it can do air bag and abs lights as well. I would definitely recommend this product to the normal user. Unless your a full out Vw/Audi tech, this will serve its purpose well. At a very good price point to!
