Acupuncture for Dogs and Cats: A Pocket Atlas 1st Edition

I find it very confusing that in the number of books i have for Acupuncture for Cats & dogs, everyone shows different locations for the points, and it's looking like this book uses the measurements for a Great Dane, when I'm trying to work on my cat. My cat is in Kidney Failure, and I'm wondering if she will die because this book showed me where the points are for a dog. I'm now waiting for books from legitimate Veterinary Colleges, because I'm really sick and tired of spending hundreds of hours trying to find out where the points really are on a cat. This book does have great information, but you'll never know if you really hit the right points. I can actually say this about all the "Cat & Dog" Books!I'm actually extremely familiar with using acupuncture on humans, but on animals, these small books all have different point locations. Misleading especially for people who don't know about acupuncture.

Having been a licensed acupuncturist for several years I found this to be an excellent reference for treating dogs and cats Where the channels traverse the bodies of a canines and cats, point location, insertion depth and contraindications were my main areas of interest. All of these are concisely addressed. This is an excellent reference manual and perfect size.

I am a graduate of the Chi institute and found this book to be helpful and well written. I think this book is most helpful if you already have an understanding of TCVM.

This was far too advanced for me to understand, I had a dog under going acupuncture and wanted to know more as it truly was helping him, but this was way out of my relm.

Like their book for human acupuncture, this has wonderfully clear photos and diagrams. Gave it to my acupuncturist who is treating my dog. He really liked it as well.

Very informative. Currently a Doctor of Acupuncture student and love the images shown in this book. Definitely a great guide!

Good point localization and very clear on which points to avoid needling due to pneumothorax or viscera puncture.Vey poor on points for specific conditions like arthitis. The book Four Paws, Five Directions is better for this.
