Love it. Inexpensive but handles work and stress well. I noticed some people had issues with it not keeping accurate time. I did as well for about 36 hours. Now it’s perfect. My working theory is that the solar battery needs a little time/light to be full power.

I was pleasantly surprised by this watch. For the price, it offers excellent value and has a rugged look that closely resembles a G-Shock. It feels durable, keeps accurate time, and looks great whether you're wearing it casually or for work. The only downside I found is that the wristband is a little shorter than most, so if you have larger wrists it may be a bit snug. Other than that, I really have no complaints. If you're looking for a good, affordable watch that looks great and won't break the bank if it gets scratched or damaged, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.

It's a good watch especially for the price

I read majority of the 1 and 2 star reviews and most of the reviews are accurate. I purchased this watch and first of all the instruction guide is horrible and hard to understand. My 2nd problem with this watch is that the date after 3 or 4 day's it lags behind and I have to adjust it, then it happens again it becomes so annoying and I can't rely on the date on my watch so I have to double checked to make sure it's giving me the right date. The watch itself looks good and cheap but that's all your getting.

Had this for two years and I was very enthusiastic about it. However, it died recently and decided to see what's inside. I actually found that it has a miniature solar panel, but it also has two regular batteries, one big, flat 3 Volts, Maxell CR2016, and one little Maxell SR626SW underneath, I think it is a LR44. There are no rechargeable batteries, so it's not a real solar watch. It is unclear when it runs on solar, maybe outside, but most use is usually indoors, so this is not the smartest design. The 3 volt one was still functional while the other was dead. As an educated guess, probably for the designers it was cheaper to use a regular battery for backup and rely on solar only when outside. It's an arguable design to me, since a single 3V CR2016 would have lasted longer and would have been simpler to produce or service. It is well built but hard to take apart to service. There is a solar cell, putting out up to 5 Volts under a LED desk lamp, which is good under intense light, but at normal ambient light it it barely puts out 0.7 Volts. The current indoor is zero, so this is useless to power a watch, maybe under intense sunlight. The brand and model says VIMUN SC2813-8 A3/2. This is not looking easy to service, too many parts and little screws to take out. Plus the big flat 3 Volt is at the top, then you have to remove that to get underneath for the other smaller battery. Double work. Would have been a simpler design to use a rechargeable battery and a charging regulator instead of two batteries plus a solar cell. It would have also been a real solar watch in that case. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars because of the batteries. It is reasonably cheap to replace but no different than any other battery powered watch.
