Augason Farms Dehydrated Diced Bell Peppers Can

Produced in USA. Large can but worth it. Hydrates well and tastes good in food. Good quality. If not opened, has shelf life of 25 years. Very clean and good smell. Recommend.

I made some chili with these and the flavor is excellent. I just let them rehydrate in the chili, and they looked like fresh. Being dehydrated they imparted a better flavor. The expiration date is July of 2051gives you 25 years to use them. They are about 3/8" size rehydrated. The can was half full, but the weight was 21oz, less the can. The can says 20oz. So don't worry about that. More than fair. The picture is what you get less 1/2 a cup I used. The foggy jar is just from my freezer. Rehydrating is easy but not necessary when cooking. Highly recommended!

These are excellent! You can tell as soon as you open the can. The smell is so fresh. I use them in everything. So many compliments from people at potlucks how I was able to afford so many peppers and how good they tasted in the different spaghettis or sauces and even added them to a fresh vegetable mix from my garden and nobody knew they weren't from my garden. I make this a monthly purchase

Bought this for our "survival" pantry since it has a very long shelf life, but ended up getting into it out of curiosity. I have to say that I just LOVE this product! It's easy to use, simply add a little water to rehydrate the peppers, or toss them in dry when you're cooking up spaghetti sauce or chili. The pieces are small and pack a lot of flavor. Yes, the can is only maybe 2/3 of the way full (wouldn't it be nice if it were full up!), but I'm guessing that's because they are selling it by weight not volume. I'm OK with this, and am overall so pleased with this purchase that I've bought it 9 times (one for the cupboard, 8 for long term storage). Definitely something that I will rotate through as I use this product at least once a week in cooking. So far, I've added rehydrated peppers to omelets, hash browns and soup so far - many uses and you get a lot for your money. I would like to have fresh bell peppers on hand but I hate for them to go to waste. I do grow mini peppers in my Aerogarden and also full size peppers in the garden in the summer, but for the rest of the year, this is a wonderful solution for having the taste of fresh peppers in my food, all year round.

These are good quality and versatile, great for tossing into soups, potatoes, brines, and all kinds of dishes. Once rehydrated they taste just like fresh peppers, and the can holds a good quantity that goes a long way across multiple meals.

I love the taste and convenience of these peppers! I toss them into the pot as is, or for salads I rehydrate in a bowl of water in the fridge over night - practically perfect.
