We recently renovated our house which was supposed to take about 9 months. Well.....it actually took almost 1.5 years during which time we stored everything we didn't need in our garage and a "container". When we started unpacking our clothes (and other fabric things) they stunk - no other word for it. I washed everything on the longest cycle our machine would handle, used Tide Hygienic, Oxiclean, Clorox 2, Borax, Washing Soda, sunlight which all helped but didn't get rid of the funk. I have allergies and am very sensitive to strong smells so the Tide Hygienic and Clorox 2 almost did me in. I saw Lysol Laundry Sanitizer Free & Clear on Amazon and decided to give it a shot. IT WORKED!!! It has a slight scent but nothing remotely strong. I did about 4 extra rinses due to sensitive skin. No breakouts and the funk is gone!

This is perfect for pet odors I have an elderly cat and this with my regular detergent eliminates all smells and leaves clothes fresh. It works perfectly is a great size and 100% worth the money.

Lysol Laundry Sanitizer has been a blessing for both my towels and my washing machine. I use it every time I wash towels, and it keeps everything smelling fresh and truly clean — not just masked with fragrance. I also use it on all laundry when someone in my household is sick. It gives me peace of mind knowing it’s helping kill germs, especially during cold and flu season. I have very sensitive skin when it comes to perfumes and soaps, so I usually add it during the prewash cycle as a personal preference. I haven’t experienced any skin irritation even when using it in the regular cycle, which says a lot. I highly recommend it for athletic wear, towels, or anything that tends to hold onto odors. It’s become a staple in my laundry routine.

Older washer dryer from previous owner. Clothes smelled stale with hot wash and quality detergent. I started by using about half recommended amount, it was all that was needed. Absolutely no odor, whatsoever, just fresh. Lysol also has scented sanitizer products. (I use all non scented products due to allergies.) I was also surprised by how much brighter clothing appears. If laundry smells stale, it's microbial contamination, just get rid of it. I use is with every load of clothing and use hot water.

I've noticed this makes my laundry smell fresh and cleaner. It's not sticky and doesn't affect the softness or feeling of my fabric. It's a decent size for the price. I tend to put a dose or two in the wash too and I haven't run out yet. My only complain is that there was a dent in the bottle from shipping bad enough that it cause a hole in the side of the bottle that causes it to pour out the hole when I pour into the cup. I didn't notice right away and didn't use it right away, so it was outside of the return window to remedy the issue. So make sure to check your bottle for damage as soon as you get it and as for a replacement if it's damaged enough to leak. They really need to package it better. I think the warehouse people are just too rushed and don't care about certain things and just put in limited amounts of paper to buffer inside and it's just not enough to keep it from getting knocked about. I used to work at a FedEx Ground Hub and I've seen the abuse to packages that happens in those places and the amount of weight some packages get placed on top of them. It's not pretty. It's kinda like seeing sausages being made, ya know?

Love this sanitizer to help get our clothes the deep clean they need. It's free from fragrance and dyes, which is reassuring. It also even cleans pee smell from my son's sheets after an accident at night. Great value for the big bottle. Leaves clothes & sheets soft and smelling fresh.

I suffer from an odour in my oil glands on my scalp, shoulders, and back of my neck. It's an old man smell that some of you may identify with. The odour gets into clothing, hats, pillows and pillow cases, hoodies, etc.. Nothing worked to get that odour out until I tried this Lysol product. This product neutralized the odour completely and returned my items to brand new as far as smell was concerned. This product is free and clear of perfumes and any fragrances. There is a very slight chemical smell to the product. If you use a little too much the chemical smell is present when taken out of the washer, but a lot of that smell evaporates in the dryer, but a bit gets left over when the clothes come out of the dryer- I used two caps for a not very full load of clothing, should have used 11/2 caps or 1 cap instead. Other than that, the product is amazing, you'll really be pleased.
