Polyester Finishing Resin - Marine Grade Fiberglass Resin with Wax for Boat and Surfboard Building and Repair (Quart)

I used this with fiberglass weave to repair and reinforce a (properly remediated) rust hole and problem on the interior bottoms of my doors on a truck. Worked extremely well. Top notch product, and great cure time (3/4 hours on a hot day). Comes in a plastic bottle now, that works better than the pictured tin container. Follow directions completely, mixing in a tin can (not a plastic Solo cup-which will chemically melt), and all is good.

Delivered as said and worked well. The product setup slower than I expected but it did dry to a full cure by morning. Was a 65 degree day and dry. no humidity that may have slowed the cure.

This is really a great product. Total boat has made this easy to use. Getting started is a little tricky but once you get it dialed in it's easy. Keep in mind that weather conditions really play a role in how this items sets up. Be in a very very very well ventilated area. Wear a respirator and eye perfection. Have acetone for quick clean ups. Plan your project out have everything laid out and ready for resin. trust me it makes it so much easier. Lastly take some time to figure the MEKP to resin. Make a few small batches find the one that works for you and go with it.

Product serves it’s purpose, unfortunately I didn’t know it wasn’t recommended for carbon fiber layups. Still worked but I went with epoxy instead. since the styrene smell is awful with this resin I’m not upset I’m switching. I smell that stuff enough in the sewers!Total boat products always work well though and this did not disappoint

If you've got fiberglass needs, Total Boat is your go to place. I've used their fiberglass cloth (csm, 1708, woven, etc), I love their epoxy, and now their polyester resins. Their Total Boat two part epoxy fairing compound is the bomb! They've got pretty much everything you need for fiberglass work. Personally, I prefer their Total Boat products to others. West Systems is great, but SUPER pricey! I tried Total Boat after watching some Youtubers use it and rave about it. It's never let me down.
