Works great. What I’m weighing is typically under 12 lbs. Accuracy checks out. When the LED display is backlit it can be hard to read at an angle, but that’s a very minor issue and the backlight turns off in a few seconds and the display is easily clear on or off axis. I checked the zeroing function even though it wasn’t needed and it works fine.

The Dr.meter Fish Scale absolutely saved me dollars at the airport! I used it to check the weight of our suitcases before heading to check-in, and it prevented the hassle of unpacking and shifting items around at the counter. It clearly showed which bags needed to be lightened and by how much—accurate and easy to use. Now that the trip is over, I can finally put it to use for its original purpose: fishing! It proved extremely accurate for luggage, and I’m confident it will be just as reliable for weighing fish. GREAT JOB, Dr.meter! Highly recommended.

I purchased this scale here more than 6 yrs ago & it continues to work great! Was looking for something to weigh items for selling on online auction sites for shipping, so after researching & looking I found this Dr. Meter Fish Scale. Seemed to have gotten good reviews so that helped sway my decision. What also influenced the purchase was: ) It's compact so it doesn't take up much space (especially if you store it in original box). ) Read out has a bright, glowing LCD screen, and has a nice contrast with big black numbers against an illuminated blue backlight, especially in low light. ) Switches between pounds, ounces, & Kg measurements with a touch of a button. ) Well designed & constructed. Quality composition & equipped with a collapsible handle made of a durable steel. ) In addition to ON/OFF & Unit measurement buttons, this has a neat function which computes Tare weight as well for omitting the weight of a container (although I never need to use it). ) Has a strong stainless steel hook on the bottom with a swivel for versatility, but there's a recessed groove on the back for the hook to store, so it doesn't dangle & hook onto anything. ) If you need it. this versatile unit contains a built-in tape measure up to 3 feet long, which I honestly forget about as well and an auto-off feature I forget about too! ) Takes only (2) AAA size batteries in a compact compartment which last a long time. Because I use this scale mainly for weighing packages for shipments, I put a package/box into a plastic bag to weigh & hang it from the hook. But with that said, what I love about this is scale is when you're weighing an object, hold it up by the handle & fully suspend it, keep it steady while doing so and the scale automatically locks in your measurement!!! It's that easy!!! Another useful way I used this was to measure damaged aluminium wheels - I needed to scrap the metal to cash in for some recycling money & wanted to compare to see if the scrap yard was paying per the weight of my payout. This scale accurately counted up the weight of the wheel(s) upwards of about 26 pounds each without a sweat. Although it's advertised to handle upwards of 110 lbs., I never fully tested the capability, but I'd bet it can do so. My wife & I really love this product for our online selling gig & it has provided many years of countless weighing cycles. I highly recommend this for the duties as a package scale, but I'm sure it's great for fish & the like also. It's been trouble free for us & I think it's going to serve us well for a few more years to come! Get this & you won't be disappointed!!!

What good is a digital device if you can't read the display. I don't want to put on reading glasses just to see the info. 1st) the numbers are 1 cm or 7/16 inch tall. The background light is a pleasant blue tone of just the right brightness. However, the viewing angle is very limited. Easy to use. I have a bad back. If I pick up something like a delivery box on the front porch, even for a second, that is over my weight limit then I will likely be in pain for for more than a day. Say my weight limit is 15 lbs. I am strong and can easily lift 30 lbs. If the box is 20 lbs. I may be in bad pain for 4 days. To prevent injury using the scale, I just need to raise one side of the box enough to get a strap under it and attach it to the scale. Example: When lifting the box a little, I see the weight measured is 9 lbs. Fact: half of the box weight is on the porch and the other half is on the scale. Then double the observed weight resulting in 18 lbs. that is too heavy for me to lift. I need to get someone to help or I can tumble to box into the house. The photo: I accidently ordered a second one which I will return but the photo illustrates what's in the box and the hanging scale. I recommend you get this one.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother in law, and he’s already found it extremely useful for his fishing trips. It’s compact, easy to use, and feels well made. Great value for the price and a solid gift for anyone who enjoys fishing or traveling.

I got this for my boyfriend (since he always thinks the fish he catches are larger than they actually are 🙄😂) and I think he’s gonna love it! We haven’t tested it out quite yet, but from what I can tell it’s going to be awesome! It’s a great size and won’t take up too much space in his fishing bag which is amazing since his bag is on the smaller side.
